2025 - One post a year?

OMG! Being the air sign that I am, I am now looking at my blog thinking why did I not blog often last year? Lol!

A lot has happened and there are a lot of things to actually blog about but I honestly can't find my mojo to start blogging. I am too lazy to write lol! Tumatanda na yata ako. Haha!

I started this blog for the purpose of going back to each posts someday and read my mind. I have a lot of things going on my head and it's always a joy for me to read back what I've wrote before. However, I also found out 2 years ago that I can do the same with videos. I found the confidence to start vlogging so I started a Youtube channel for our family adventures. I wanted to be able to share and get back to our travel vlogs so I can re-watch them when I'm older. Haha!

So, tomorrow is May 1st - Tatay's death anniversary. It's been 26 years!! No plans but I don't know yet.

Vince went to school today :)

And one proud moment that I had today was, I witnessed Vince writing an almost perfect number 4!!! Sayang hindi ko na capture in video because I was not expecting anything. I was surprised he took his bag to get his crayons. Automatically, I gave him his papers too. I was helping him hold his crayons and then thought of asking him to write numbers. I asked to write number 1, which was easy for him of course. Number 2 and 3 were more of him doodling and then I asked to write 4. I was sooo shocked! Haha. Yes, mababaw na kaligayahan but who cares? Lol.

Here I am hoping that this is not the last time I will be blogging for 2025 haha! Laters!!

New Year's Eve 2022

 Hey everyone!

Happy New Year!! Hope you all have a good start to the year 2022!

Just a quick update on how our January started. Our New Year's Eve went really well. I made sure we'll be wearing the color of the year shirt (which I want to make a yearly thing since 2016, lol!)

This year's color from Pantone is Very Peri. Ang hirap ng color na ito actually! Haha. We don't have violet clothes, I realized. I don't want to buy shirts that are violet in color or buy a family shirt with prints for New Year kasi they are quite expensive talaga so I thought of doing DIY this time. I watched Youtube videos on how to dye shirt using joboss. The struggle is finding a violet joboss. I ordered through Shoppee but wasn't sure if it will be delivered on the 29th.

I looked around dito sa area namin, but had trouble finding violet. Mostly red, blue colors lang ang available. I checked din sa National Bookstore pero sold out na daw, huhu!

I went to Baclaran to buy plain white shirt for the family. Round neck for the boys while I got the V-neck for me and Nanay. This is the first time that I tried dyeing shirt and was quite nervous, hehe! I did Vince's shirt first then Dwyane.

Vince's shirt went really well though mejo weak ang color. I wanted a little darker ng kaunti sana but it will do, I guess. The next shirt was Dwyane's. This time, super naging weak ang color and some of the parts were not dyed. Since bago yung shirt, it was so hard for the shirt to absorb the liquid. Dapat pala, I made the shirt wet then proceed with dyeing to make sure kapit ang kulay. Too late na so Dwyane's shirt wasn't colored as much as I want.

I did Nanay's shirt and I loved the result. Naabsorb kasi ng tela yung color easily and it was just the right color din. I went ahead and did Daryl and my shirt since I am confident dyeing from here on. Hehe!

This is actually the best photo na meron kami. Yearly, it's a struggle to take a nice family photo. Haha! Aside sa masikip ang house, ang hirap din mag pose ng mga batang ito, kainis!

For our Noche Buena, we had 2 kinds of pasta (Spaghetti and Carbonara), Caldereta, Barbeque, Shanghai, Biko and Maja, Buko Pandan and Fruit Salad. I invited my youngest brother and his family to celebrate NYE at home. The kids fell asleep just before 12 midnight so wala na kaming photos after this. Lol!

The next day, my brother got sick. On the 2nd of January, Daryl went home with a high fever, headache, and body pains. The next day, I felt I'm having bad colds then went sick that same afternoon. I have a fever but easily recover after drinking Paracetamol. No other symptoms aside from colds and a little cough. We had a teleconsultation for Daryl so he can have an RT-PCR request from a doctor.

The day Daryl and I are feeling a little better, Dwyane started getting feverish and Nanay started having bad colds, too. Later that afternoon, they both fell ill. When they started recovering after two days, Vince got feverish and fell ill that same day. I noticed the kids having really mild symptoms and only having fever. Nanay was complaining of being dizzy and she's coughing.

We looked for a testing center so Daryl can have RT-PCR. It's a requirement for him to be able to go back to work. We started looking on the 8th and were only able to book an appointment in Red Cross on the 10th of January. Daryl was feeling a lot better at the time of saliva testing.

At this time, we haven't received the result of the RT-PCR test from the Red Cross even after calling them yesterday to follow up. He wasn't able to come to work since the 3rd so I made him ask his superior since the quarantine requirement as per DOH is only for 10 days from the time you no longer have symptoms, sabi ko pasok na sya sa requirement. His employer allowed him to go back to work tomorrow and will have the PCR test to follow.

I am really glad that it wasn't something serious. If it's indeed Covid-19, I am thankful no one needs to be hospitalized and it was really just like flu for us. We're not feeling any symptoms now except Nanay who's still coughing. It was crazy, her prescription meds are not available anywhere. I even went to the next city because I was told by Mercury Drug that the meds I'm looking for are not available in every branch in Las Pinas. Crazy!!!!

Anyway, hope everyone is feeling a lot better and your family's doing awesome this 2022!

Third Month is Out

So ayun na nga! Matatapos na ang buwan ni wala pa din akong post na matino! hahaha!

Sorry mga momshies! Mejo ngarag lang talaga ako this month. Sobrang daming event at gastos, na stress na ako kakaisip. Heheh!

Anyway, kahit napakagastos ng left and right na event, I am so glad since most of them are on a happy side. I should blog about them sometime for safekeeping of these wonderful memories. Sarap kaya magbasa ng old posts.

So ayon, I am not actually here to blog something. Wala pa ako sa wisyo ngayon because I have to wake up every four hours for the past 3 days to make Jami drink his medicine. Yes, he's still sick at the moment and naiyak ako sa presyo ng gamot. But yeah, hoping he'll get better soon!

Thank you everyone for always looking after this blog. I'll shall update you soon. Mwuah! =D

Mercury Drug Suki Day Book 2018

We have 3 more days remaining before saying goodbye to year 2017.

I personally liked this year, somehow I wish it won't end but yeah, we always have to move forward.

There are a lot of things happened this year. Some I didn't actually remember! I was surprised to read about it on my 2017 planner which I bought from National Bookstore.

This year, I have found the trending Mercury Drug Suki Day book in social media particularly in Facebook. It went viral due to it's nice cover colors and interesting additional features and articles inside. I have also found out that it only requires 30 points to claim one as long as you have a Mercury Drug Suki Card. I had one years ago so I only waited until the end of December to get one.

Why now? Ayaw ko kasi ma over excite sa kakasulat eh. Lol!

Anyway, I finally paid attention to social media posts from Mommy Pehpot Blog on Facebook about buying packs of Kotex which will give you instant 10 points. I have mistakenly bought 2 kinds of Kotex that aren't included on their item of the month so no additional points on that. I initially have 14 points on my card so I only needed 16 to get the day book. I bought two packs of Kotex so I have 34 points in total before claiming.

Today, I called several Mercury Drug branches along Pasay and Makati hoping they still have some in stock! Sobrang trending nya, laging out of stock. I was even told by a lady in the cashier that their allocation of the planner has been consumed so there are chances not to have some delivered to their branch anymore.

I tried calling 6 Mercury Drug branches and was only told they will 'hopefully' restock in January third week. Sad! The 7th branch I called which was Mercury Drug Malibay branch (Pasay along Edsa) came out positive! I tried to immediately reserve one pero madami naman daw stock and all colors are available pa so no need for reservation.

I took my lunch and went there agad! Claiming one was easy, just need to present your suki card.

Some people came inquiring about it while I was there so I suggest to call the branches before going there to see if they have the daybook in stock. Sayang kasi effort eh.

The daybook is available in three colors: Green, Blue and Peach Blossom.

From Mercury Drug Facebook Page
I like the Pink Blossom but I loved the Green! I also realized that 2018 is the year of the Earth Dog so very timely sa color Green! :D Pwede din naman blue, I just like how the Green looks papansin. Heheh!

You can check Nheng's wonderland vlog about unboxing of Mercury Drug planner here.

MY TAKE:

Seriously, Mercury Drug did a good job this year since the colors of the daybook are very millenial so it caught a lot of attention. I also loved the cover, the designs are embossed so may texture. As mentioned, it has colorful articles and minimal activities like sleep tracking, eating habit, water intake etc. There are plenty of space to write down your thoughts too.

The only thing that disappoints me was, it has no calendar. I meant it has no usual dates on each pages like most planners. I was expecting it to have one and felt sad for 1 minute.

However, I realized hindi naman ako araw araw nagsusulat. Some days are just plain boring and has nothing to write about so I guess I could work with that. I just have to write down the day or even allocate the pages month per month to make it more organized.

Nevertheless, the planner was really nice for the price of Php125. Some even said they only have to spend Php50 for it. Not bad at all right?! I am just happy with it plus I got the color I was eyeing for so I felt complete now that the year is about to change!

Happy New year guys!!

After Christmas Rush

Okay so it's official, tapos na ang Christmas and all are well rested na somehow.

Last couple of weeks kasi, sobrang aligaga ng mga tao, they are everywhere so sobra din ang traffic here in Manila.

How did you celebrate your Christmas? Did you stay at home with family & friends? Went out of town or out of the country? Shalaaa.. Regardless on how it was celebrated, I hope you had a wonderful time.

Well, I know I have mentioned before that I didn't grow up celebrating Christmas day. The day I always look forward to was celebrating New Year's Eve. It was a special one because it reminds me so much of my childhood. Super exciting!

You might be confused but yes, you are reading it correct. We don't celebrate Christmas because we grew up in Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ).

When Jami came, we always go to my byenan's house to spend the night. Walang gift giving actually. I never get used to it even those aguinaldo's so I don't pity Jami for not getting one this past few years of Christmas. I strongly believe in the religion I grew up with so I never felt "kawawa" growing up for not having what everybody else has. I believe na hindi din sa perang nakukuha yan to feel the joy of Christ being born and saved us from our sins. Diba? So don't be judgemental that some are "kawawa" or "sana ganyan ka din" because they don't get money from Ninongs and Ninangs.

Okay too much negativity. hahahah! Sorry, I just have to release that.

In a matter of days, it's 2018 and I feel so excited and somehow not ready. I was looking forward to it last month tapos biglang anjan na pala and I am not "that prepared" pala. Lol!

You might ask, prepare saan?

For the coming year, syempre. I felt I have all the chance in the world to start over, be wise, make good decision etc. Eto lagi yung exciting part ng New Year so this what makes it feel special for me.

This time, we might celebrate it to my byenan's house. Feels weird kapag naiisip ko because I have been having new year's eve sa bahay namin. I feel sad somehow but I think I'll be fine. Besides, we are celebrating it with family pa rin naman. That's what's important.

Let's cherish the remaining days of 2017! Happy Holidays guys! =)

I am Back!

Hello everyone, I seemed to find my blogging spirit back so here I am, trying to write again. I so missed blogging bigla since I had some life changing experience in the past few months and I felt the need to document them again. :) Oh! The joy of writing them down and reading them later when you have overcome all those problems. What more if it's a good experience pa diba?

Anyhow,  I am due to write couple of sponsored posts that are long over due. Sobrang wala akong time and that I have no phone at the moment kaya lalong wala akong ma ishare na photos. haha! Hopefully, I could get one. Hindi naman expensive but at least helpful in so many ways.

At this point, I am busy with small baking business, full time job, parenting, and being a partner. There were changes that happened like Daryl undergoing an unpaid training in Naia Terminal 3. Although it was unpaid, I told him to go for it since it may give him a better chance in finding his career in line with his diploma. I can see he was really happy with it so I am giving my full support. I am praying that sooner, it'll give us a positive feedback. =)

I also bought a gas range that I am using for baking stuff. We took a break  from making brownies and yema cake because we ran out of capital. Nanay had to be confined due to her diabetes weeks ago so we have to cover a little of her expenses for that too. I also made decisions that made me suffer monetarily. I guess being overly helpful can cost us too so we have to be careful on that.

Jami celebrated his 3rd birthday at home with some of my friends and family. I was really glad though it was really simple. I made him his birthday cake which was supposed to be two cakes (one was a yema cake which was my friends request and a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache covered with Marshmallow Fondant). Yun nga lang, the night before his birthday, I realized wala pala akong cocoa so I wasn't able to make his second cake. =( Di bale, I was hoping I could make one in one of these weekends that's left in 2016. Jami loves blowing candles on a cake so I guess, it'll be just another reason to make one. =)

I also failed the financial goal that I have set up this year. Remember I was telling you about how I am planning to build our emergency fund? I was hoping to build Php50,000 to begin with since that's the amount that I could only save this year. I was torn between saving the money or investing it in our small business. I havr to buy new an additional oven since my electric oven can no longer accommodate the amount of orders that were coming our way.  Later on, I have decided to take a loan to buy a new gas range and a stand mixer. :) I'll tell you more about it soon. =) At the moment, I am still paying the loans although I only have 3 installment left to pay for the year! Halfway of December, I am almost debt free again . =)

Well, that's somehow a brief summary and the highlight of the past few months. I would have to post Jami's 3rd birthday in a separate post of course since that always have a special place in this blog. =)

I ssooo missed blogging so hang tight and let's get started again! ;)

And I am Back!!!!

Hi everyone!

We are half way through the month and I haven't been able to post anything diba?

Gosh! I don't know what's going on. I always have the feeling that I need to blog pero laging wala akong time and sometimes, I am too lazy to do so. Hayyy.. I have a lot of things to blog and wala pa rin akong maumpisahan.

Anyway, I would like to apologize sa mga blog readers ko na nanalo ng Trisopure Giveaway. I was planning to have it sent thru Xend pero twice in a row na hindi kami nagpapang-abot. They always arrive kasi later in the afternoon or early evening. At that time, wala ng tao sa bahay because I go to work in the afternoon diba? Although my sister was there, hindi naman naging malinaw ang communication so na delay na ng na delay ang prizes. I am really sorry talaga guys!

Pero.... I have a good news kasi last weekend, I managed to leave it at a 7-11 store near our place. It will be picked up by Xend today (Monday) so hoping you'll receive them tomorrow or next day. I left it on a Saturday and wala daw pick up. So ayun, sana ma receive nyo na din yung prize nyo.. and again, thanks for joining. :)

I am yet to blog about our recent trips these past few months along with some new developments from Jami. I know you missed reading things about Jami same as I am. =)

Regular programming in 3.... 2..... 1... Gow!

Happy Lunar New year!

Hi Guyssssss!!! Happy Lunar New Year!

Yes buhay pa ako. I am really sorry if I am not blogging as often as I could. There were a lot of changes that happened in the first month of 2016 and I making an adjustment pa. Hopefully I could find the time to blog often. Isa yan sa mga goals ko this year diba?

Well, I received a lot of blessings last month and I am so happy talaga I am doing the happy dance everytime I think about it. Some of my goals that I listed were done first part pa lang ng taon! I can't wait for more blessings. With that, I should give you an update siguro no?! It will be so nice to look back later in life about the small things that made us happy.

I still have a lot of post that I missed since December. Nasa laptop kasi most of the pictures eh wala akong charger, hindi ko mahanap =(

Talk to you soon, just giving you an update talaga promise! BRB.. =)

The Story of my P100 at KFC Southmall

On the last day of 2015, I was asked by Kuya to buy Leche Flan in SM Southmall. After we bought 3pcs, Daryl, Jami and I decided to eat at KFC for our lunch since wala pa kaming kain from breakfast.

As we were deciding what to order, I went near the counter just to check closely their menus. I was about to buy their P300 peso meal (forgot what it was called but it was with 2pc chicken and rice plus more). I went back to where Daryl was seated because I had a second thought. I told him iba na lang dahil masyadong madami yung food for us. However, after so much thinking, I have decided to push through with the original plan. I went back to the cashier na may hawak na Php200 plus my wallet. While I was standing sa cashier, I was looking up to read again what's included on our order at the same time, taking out another 100 pesos from my wallet. Suddenly, I felt na nabitawan ko slightly yung wallet (although I had the strap around my wrist) and because of that, nalaglag yung isang Php100 na nilalabas ko pa lang. When I checked on the counter top, wala yung pera. I looked around below to see if nahulog lang sa baba pero wala talaga. I was so surprised hindi ko alam kung saan napunta. I am positive na nilabas ko na yung money since bilang ko yung perang nasa loob ng wallet ko.

While I was struggling to look for that Php100 bill, Daryl went to me and asked why. Sabi ko nawawala yung pera ko so he handed some bills to me to add into my already Php200. I was still looking and even checked if nahulog pa towards the other side of the counter (where the lady cashier was standing) pero wala daw sabi nya. I was starting to doubt her kasi imposibleng mawala yung Php100 in just a matter of seconds. Wala din naman ibang tao sa likod ko na kukuha if nalaglag man.

I was still busy looking when the lady cashier said wala daw naman akong nailapag sa counter. I told her meron. I am 101% sure. I just heard her say "ni Ma'am" to one of their staff na katabi nya. So I asked "Ano yun?" I was thinking baka kinakausap nya ako but since I have my full attention in finding the money, hindi ko sya narinig ng maayos.

"Ipapareview ko po yung CCTV, Ma'am"

I said okay lang then ordered na while still looking around. Shet wala talaga! Naisip kong ano ba yan! Nawala pa yung pera sayang naman. Yeah, Php100 lang pero nakakapang hinayang. We could have used that to ride the carousel nearby.
I sat down na then told Daryl what happened. Hindi din sya positive na may inilabas din akong money pero nanindigan talaga akong meron. I know I was holding the Php200 bill with my wallet in one hand while taking out another Php100 by my other hand. I was checking the counter and saw that they are really reviewing the CCTV. I was touched to see that they were exerting an effort to look for my money kahit na sobrang liit lang naman. I realized nagkukumpulan na sila in front of the monitor. I told Daryl na maybe they saw something unusual or maybe found someone took my money when it fell.

Kumakain na kami when the lady cashier went to our table and said na wala naman daw kaming naiwan talaga. I smiled and said it was fine. Jusko! Ayaw ko naman mag iskandalo para lang sa Php100. Hahaha! I said I'll let it go na. Kung nawala or namalikmata ako, or may nakakuha man then so be it. Wala na akong magagawa. I looked at the counter (we were seated across) when I realized they were still watching. I kept looking until I saw the lady cashier pulling up her monitor and saw my Php100 bill!!!! I overheard her telling his colleagues

Cashier : "Nakita ko na kung nasaan, nasa ilalim pala!".

Me to Daryl: Sabi ko sayo babe eh! May hawak akong pera!

The lady cashier went back to our table to tell me that she found my money. I told her, "sabi ko sayo ate eh!"

The moral of the story? I was really glad about their effort. I wasn't expecting them to review the CCTV and help me resolve my issue. For me, it was beyond customer service. I am working in the same industry for so long. I spoke to so many irate callers all over U.S and U.K and being able to resolve one's concern feels like heaven. I know what she felt and that there's a confidence in that face. I loved that. I was checking how I could commend her for helping me out even after her timeline to serve me has ended from the moment I left the counter. I was looking around and in my receipt to check where I could send this story, basically to let her managers know that she exceeded what is expected of her pero I couldn't find one. I saw you could send your experience through www.mykfcexperience.com.ph but it needs an invite code to be able to send one and I don't have it on my receipt. Better yet, I blogged about the story.

It was a small act that had a huge impact on how people will look at customer service and I am so glad to be able to experience it unexpectedly.

Thank you Crisella Marie Caluya, as my receipt says, for the job well done. Keep doing that and it will take you a long way. =)

On Blogging and Bashers

I know I have mentioned here in my blog last year that I decided to continue blogging when I had the chance to see a wonderful blog posts of Mommies that I follow. Those are the days that internet is one of my best friend in searching for answers on parenting. It also became a past time while I don’t have a task at work. I was quite thankful to be included on MommyBloggers Philippines later last year when I saw their website on Top Blogs Ph. I was so lucky to be welcomed and be part of this mommas who has the same passion as mine.

I wasn’t really expecting people to read my blog. If they do, then thank you very much. If not, it’s fine.. Walang pilitan dito. I don’t even ask my family or friends to read my blog. If a stranger chance upon my blog and loved it, then a very big thank you very much ulit ang iooffer ko. I wasn’t expecting anything in return sa blog. Syempre I loved to be invited on events and product reviews, it’s part of what makes blogging fun diba? I get to meet a lot of Mommies that some became friends in real life.

I started sharing my blog posts on my social media just later this year when I have been invited to events left and right. Of course I have to share the event on social media because it’s part of being a media influencer. I am thankful with those anonymous people who appreciate my blog and finds it appropriate to their lifestyle.

I noticed that when I started sharing my blog posts on social media, I have also earned those people who were eager in bringing other people down. Yung mga basher at mga bitter sa buhay na walang ibang gustong gawin kundi manira ng ibang tao. It wasn’t the first time that I received a nasty comment here in my blog. Pinaglagpas ko lang because the person left a comment on my very old blog post (nung dalaga pa ako). I told about it to people who were close to my heart and was told na hayaan na lang at baka sikat na ako kaya may bashers na. Hahahah!

source

After a month or so, I received another nasty comment here.

Di ko maintindihan kung bakit pero I find it really funny. That anonymous would spend his/her time going to my blog just to leave comments like that. Akala naman nya, masisira nya ang araw ko. Look, just so you understand, every time you stalk my blog or even comment here, dinadagdagan mo lang ang page views ko which make it more appealing sa future clients ng blog na ito. The more comments on each of my blog posts, the more dadami ang pageviews ko, the more na mabibigyan ako ng chances to grow my blog even bigger.

Supposedly, hindi ako mag popost about it. Baka kasi ma misinterpret mo na affected ako. Pero para na rin sa kapakanan mo, ipapaalam ko sayo na you are free to leave a comment here. I still allow anonymous because I care for those who leave comments na kahit hindi ako kilala personally, they see the beauty in my blog.

All I can say is THANK YOU -  for making me continue blogging with all your nasty comments.

Here's a sneak peak of what I have been doing lately. I was so busy looking for his pilot costume. I posted a photo on my facebook account na so mainly most of my friends have an idea of what we did. I'll share this to you in the coming days, promise! =)

Have a great week ahead. =)

It's October! Jami's Birth Month

It's October!!!

O.M.G I can't believe it ang bilis bilis ng panahon!

It's Jami's birthday month and we prepared a celebration courtesy of his lola. If you'll ask me, I prefer a family lunch or dinner then invite some friends over at our house. A cake and some spaghetti will be fine. Sanay kasi ako sa mga ganyan eh, yun bang pang intimate lang. Ever since we're young, hindi kami sinanay sa mga bonggang party with so many people. Ultimately because we don't have budget for it, minsan nga, greetings lang busog na. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret it. With that, I learned to value families on birthdays most specially New Year's eve. A birthday is not complete without my immediate family. Yun nga lang because everyone's busy, minsan food na lang ang naabutan wala ng party party hahaha!

I am actually cramming about something that I can't tell you yet. Hahaha!

I'll give you a teaser soon. I am not yet ready to talk about it because I haven't made up my mind pa. But promise, as soon as pwede na.. Chika ko agad sa inyo.

Anyway, wala na pala akong balita sa 52 Weeks Money Challenge ko na yan ano?! I'll blog about it next. =)

Happy Monday everybody!

Midweek Thoughts

I can't believe it's September!

Time flies really fast no?! Parang kelan lang, January pa lang.

Anyway, I have a lot of kwento actually pero dahil sa hindi ko ma identify kung anong uunahin ko, hindi ko tuloy maumpisahan..

Well, currently, Jami still have coughs. He's very cranky because he's coughing really bad. If he's condition don't get better, I'll bring him again to his pedia this coming weekend.

Taken last week at Serenitea Store in SM Southmall
Also, check out my new top!! Got it from my personal favoruite ukay - ukay store that we frequent. It's P60 so it all made it better =)

I paired it with my Terrnova Tight Jeans and a Belt from Cole Vintage
As of the moment, we are on process of getting our ac installed so Jami could sleep better  I noticed from when we moved from the old new house, he got sickly. I think we really have to install the ac na because at night, pawis na pawis si Jami kahit dalawa na ang electric fan namin. I came to realize na ang mahal pala magpakabit ng ac. Hayyy..

Happy midweek guys!!

I Lost My Phone This Morning

I am feeling under the weather today.

I woke up because Nanay was asking where my phone was. I was too sleepy pa so I said, "anjan lang".

She said Kuya's phone was missing daw so I better look for mine. When I checked where I placed it last night (partially under my pillow), it was not there. I thought Daryl used it the night before when I was asleep since he tends to surf the net before going to sleep. He checked where he usually put it but to no avail. We started searching for the bed since I always, always sleep with my phone. Unfortunately, it wasn't there.

Nanay said that Kuya's phone was nowhere to be found too.

We were robbed.

Pinagtali-tali namin ang story and we came up that the suspect got hold of our gadgets from our window.

source
Our window was like that. Nanay put a soft net to cover the window so to make sure na hindi basta papasok ang mga insects or even dust from outside. She said, when she woke up, the net was rolled down on one side and the windows were open wide when she or my brother was able to close it a bit because it rained hard that night before Daryl and I arrived home. Our bed, from where we were sleeping, was slightly close to the side of the window. It's perpendicular to the wall where the window was. Thinking about it, if that person would want to hurt me, he could have done so because my head was really close to the window. Same as my brother who was sleeping near the other window in our sala.

Kuya's phone was placed in one of the television shelves where he usually put it when he sleeps. He said that he charged it before going to sleep but when he woke up, he was left with a charger na lang. He went outside and to our window to see if the shelf was reachable from the outside, and yes, it was.

They tried calling my brother's phone and it rang. Someone picked up the call and dropped it after 3 hello's from my sister. We tried mine but the night before, it was critically low battery so by this time, I know it was fully battery drained.

We're in this apartment for 2 years now. It wasn't the first time that it rained for sure. It wasn't also the first time that we left the windows slightly open. What was really mind blowing was, how could be an outsider know where we put our phones when we sleep. Yes, it might be common sense that people would sleep with their phones. My point is, I put my phone anywhere. It could be under the bed, above, under my pillow or Jami's pillow. Literally everywhere. My brother might have been placing his phone from the same spot but the things is, it was dark inside our house at night because all lights were closed except from our comfort room (where the door is slightly closed to completely closed to dim the lights further). Both phones were black so how the hell he found where it was placed? We have a speculation na baka nagmamasid na sa bahay everyday without us knowing. It's bizarre also that our dog didn't bark in a presence of an unknown person. Well, tumatahol ang aso namin kahit sinong pumasok basically lalo na if he heard voices. We don't know if it's raining hard last night that blinded our dogs sense of smell, and ears.

Kuya wasn't really worried because he had a Cherry Mobile Flare and he was able to back up all files. At the same time, he has a spare company phone. I didn't feel sad at first since the phone was a bit old and I have been planning to replace it since last month. Most of the apps there were outdated even IG. That's the reason I can't post videos or even repost. What made me really feel sad now was about the pictures and videos of Jami. I had plenty of them on my phone and it has been almost a year since the last time I synced it on my netbook. The later was broken so I have all the files kept on my phone for the mean time. I felt I lost Jami's half year because all of his video went missing. I wanted to cry. He had videos there when he was only 10 months when he was starting to communicate loudly. There were some videos he specifically look for when he got hold of my phone like "Ball" when he was inside ball of pool of in Austin Land, SM Southmall. He would also look for "siso" (seesaw) when he was riding a toy car inside Timezone. He also has a video of him singing so loudly and adorably one fine afternoon.

I failed to back up all the files since for me it's so matrabaho and I don't have time to do so. Those were the things that I failed to upload on my facebook account nor IG because of slow internet connection.

What to do now? I was so mad because I lost most precious things - Jami's progress that was witnessed by my old phone. If I could just ask the robber to just leave the files and the SIM card and take the phone, I'll be happy too. I don't need the phone, kanya na isaksak nya sa baga nya! Nakakainis lang because the value of that phone doesn't even match the files inside it! I have done my best to log in to my microsoft account so to see if somehow some of the photos or videos were backed up pero I can't remember the password I put into. It was still tied up in my phone number and said they will call me me with a code pero how I can I answer naman kung wala sakin ang phone. I don't want to give up for those files but how could I get it back. I don't know what to do =(

Bakit ba may mga taong ganyan! They don't realize that it wasn't the material things that matters to you, it was those precious times you had with your loved ones na andun sa cellphone na yun. I am so pissed knowing that I won't be able to watch all the videos I took and kept for God knows why then suddenly, kukunin lang ng mga walang kwentang tao! I know I am being emotional pero that's what matters to me! I don't know if Jami would sing the same way he did when I video-ed it. He would surely not cry and smile the way he did when he was toothless. I know I have plenty of those to capture in the coming years pero bakit di man lang ako binigyan ng warning? Sana man lang nailipat ko ang files sa hard drive!!

To the person who took my precious memories,

Ma- tegi ka na sana, now na!

Morbid.

A Lazy Week to Start

Hmm... the breeze is getting cold. That means, rainy season is in!!

I am torn between being happy and sad.

Happy because we don't have to make tiis the very humid and hot weather everyday. Rejoice, skin!

And sad, because I hate it when I go to work soaking wet because of the heavy rains and strong winds.

Anyway, how was your weekend people?

Well, On a Saturday, we stayed home in the morning so I could fix some of our stuff para mabawasan yung mga clutter when we moved in. I just have to cook Nilagang Baboy for our lunch so Jami could have a soup then proceeded with fixing our closets.

The afternoon came and we headed to FMIL's house to spend the night away. We stayed there until the next day and went home at 11pm already.

We didn't do much this weekend given that it's raining the whole day of Sunday. I was too lazy to do things, and just cuddle in bed.

I just hope that weekends will be better moving forward so we could spend some time outside. If not, we would end up doing artsy craftsy which you know, I think, was not for me. Heheh. =)

Happy safe Monday everyone. =)

Random Drive Thru at McDonalds

Lately, I was so lazy to wake up early (around 7 or 8am) so I can go to palengke and cook our brunch.

Kung hindi nyo nalalaman, marunong na po akong magluto ng ibang ulam!! Yeheyy!!! Hahaha. :p

I am really happy kasi as you know, hindi naman talaga ako marunong magluto before. In a matter of 1-2 months, natutunan kong magluto ng ilang pirasong recipe which I often cook before going to work. With that, I can save a lot in a our everyday gastos. =)

However, I don't know what has got in to me na sobrang tamad kong gumising ng maaga at magluto. Kelangan ko sigurong mag stretching para makapag luto na ulit.

Yesterday, we woke up around 10:30am na so I really wasn't able to cook anything. Along the way to office, nagutom ako and thought that Jami would be hungry too so I have decided to have a drive-thru in Mcdo. =)

Didn't realize it's 12noon so pati sa drive thru may traffic din! :p
Waiting for our turn.. Eyes on the road Babe!!
I was so surprised.. He took the burger from me.. Must be really gutom. =)
Picture baby!!! =)
Since busy ang mga taga Mcdo sa haba ng pila both Dine in and Drive Thru nila, mejo kulang sa alat ang fries :(

Daryl dropped me off sa may World Trade Center since they can't go to Makati kasi coding yung sasakyan. On the side walk, tinawag ako ni Daryl so I can say Bye to Jami. I saw him with namumulang eyes because he cried na aalis ako. Then I said "Bye Jami, see you tonight." The car went ahead of me pero naririnig ko pa rin yung iyak nya. Hahaha! Kawawa naman. It's so hard to leave him for work.. Anyway, sasabihin lang ng Daddy nyang, "Si Jollibee oh!" titigil na yan.. hehehe. =)

I don't have any plans this weekend. How about you guys? Have a happy weekend!! =)

A Realization in Living Together

It was a petiks Monday here in the office since it's UK's bank holiday. Mejo magaan ang work today.. well, wala talagang trabaho so I was able to blog hop the whole day. Hehehe.

So how's the start of your May? Ours is fine and I am liking what is going on with our everyday life. You know, it's about being thankful of your blessings everyday. =)

By the way, last weekend was a tiring one. We don't often go to malls lately unlike before where almost every weekend, I want to be in the mall. Given that we are on a very tight budget, I wanted to use the weekend for some experiments in cooking along with some bonding moment with the Daddy and the tots.

Saturday was spent at home with Jami. Daddy wasn't able to come home.. Well, he did around 2am pero I was asleep and didn't hear his call and even his knocks na nasa pinto na pala sya. I closed our bedroom door kasi and we had the AC turned on kaya hindi ko din narinig yung mga katok nya. He just have to go back to FMIL's house to spend the rest of the night. Hahaha. Poor Daddy.

Sunday was spent at home in the morning. Daddy was home by then and we decided to sleep until before it's lunch time. You know, weekends are the best time to sleep. Heheh. =)

We went to Nanay's house to watch Mayweather and Pacquiao's fight for only until round 2 because by then, I could say na ang boring ng fight at the same time, talo na daw si Pacquiao. =( It was a sad part pero grabe sobrang boring ng "fight of the century". I was expecting it to be like Marquez and Pacquiao fight na tipong bugbugan at basagan ng mukha. With that kind of fight kasi, mas malalaman mo kung sino ba ang matibay unlike sa mga patakbo-takbo lang diba? =)

At around 3pm, we decided to go back to our house so we could prepare before we leave for Jami's scheduled vaccine. When I was asking Jami to go with me in the bathroom, I heard something na nalaglag. When I looked back, nalaglag pala yung mineral water namin! I was like "Waaa! Daddy!"

I was so pissed dahil bumaha almost every part of the sala and kusina. I was very lucky living in the part of the city na hindi talaga binabaha sa kahit anong bagyo tapos maglilimas ako ng tubig baha dahil sa nalaglag na mineral water! Goshh... Breathe in, Breathe out talaga ang peg ko because I don't want to make a big deal about it. I know hindi din naman sinadya and it was an accident. Good thing, hindi nabagsakan si Jami because he was standing 3 foot away from where the lalagyan fell.

While cleaning the floor. We have to remove the linoleum to dry and remove the water underneath.
We were finished cleaning the entire floor around 5pm na. While cleaning, I had to make Jami play sa planggana so he would not trip on the floor.

Lately, Daryl and I were having couple of misunderstanding since I can get too hot tempered about small things. I wrote to him one time before I went to bed that I am sorry for being such an uncontrollable person na hindi ko kayang i contain ang asar ko over things. I just can't, specially sa mga bagay na alam ko namang madali lang gawin. There were some chores over the house that I know I can do all by myself but since I lack time specially before I go to work, I tend to ask help from him to do things. Unfortunately, some things aren't done the way I wanted them to. I am teasing him sometimes na "substandard" ang mga gawa nya. Yung tipong hindi kasi maayos sa paningin ko. Yun bang aayusin na lang, hindi pa gandahan. Then I would break out and would say "why is it like this.. blah blah blah".

And you know.. boys thought na you're nagging them when in fact, gusto mo lang naman ayusin nila ang trabaho nila. Hayyy.. Those are the usual conversations we have at home na minsan, nakakapagod going over it everyday.

Like what happened here na nalaglag yung mineral water from where it stands kasi for me, hindi nya chineck mabuti if it was placed properly ba. Instead of us doing other chores, nadadagdagan pa ang trabaho.

It can get super annoying diba??

Grrr... Men!

However, I know that what I am doing lately (starting a drama and ending up with a harsh convo) is not right, I have to do something about it.

As I said, I breathe in, breathe out. Did what I have to do (sweeping and drying up the floor) which I am glad he helped.

Surprisingly, I found myself no longer mad a little later after what happened.

I have this attitude kasi that when something happened, I can get really mad.. mad.. super mad.. overly mad.. then starting to calm down.. calm.. calmer.. no longer mad.. then regret what I have said. That can happen in a matter of 5 minutes, believe me. It's just as if after I have released that emotion, I am fine, no longer pissed and back to happy me.

Later on, we were laughing while drying up the floor together. It felt good than fighting for some accidents that no one wanted in the first place. Although I still let him know with what I felt at that moment it happened pero in a very calmer and happy way na.

I just thought to myself,  I can change the situation and choose to be calm and happy than being the brat and would end up fighting. Well, I am happy with the first thought, and maybe he too..

One thing I have realized from the last 4 months that we were living in one roof, mahirap pala mag maintain ng relationship because you have found out what he was like every single time. Although it's still a matter of choice kung paano mo gagawing maayos at masaya ang relationship. I know I still have a lot to learn throughout the way. For now, I would want to practice what I have just discovered within myself. =)

Any tips on how you handle small fight over things with your husbands or partners?
