A little Background and A come back to Blogosphere

It's been awhile!!!

I guess this has been the longest time that I wasn’t able to blog and I am really sorry about it. I am kind of busy these past few weeks due to overwhelming orders that I have received. As all you know, I have established a little passion – The Jeimis Shop. You know what I have realized along the way? I wanted to have a business!

Back in 2012, when I have been indulged to fashion which contributed to me wanting my own blog, I also wanted to have a small shop where I can sell new trends in clothing and shoes or bags and all. I love clothes and shoes! Hello? Any woman does. A women can never have too many shoes or bags nga diba? However, the challenges I have back then was, “How would I start this business?” “How would I sell my items?” “will there be anyone interested in buying what I sell?” I am really hesitant to start because for 1.) I know I am not good in selling. I have worked in some BPOs where we are required to sell and most of the time? I go home zero.  2.) I don’t have the guts and the confidence to sell. I am too shy in short. 3.) I don’t want na langawin ang tinda ko, meaning, no one will bother to buy or even check on my shop.

When I started working again, 3 months after I gave birth to James, I had a batch mate who’s a business minded by the way, kept on telling me to start a business of my own. He even wants to use my blog for selling stuffs and getting some company involved, you know like advertisements. I declined kasi nga I am very very hesitant to start my business ventures. I also had a good friend who has been telling me na mag business nga daw. She said my personality and my numerology and keme keme etc is for business or something. I didn’t take it seriously. My boyfriend has been telling me to start selling shoes and stuffs in my facebook too. Ang kukulit lang nila ano?!

Until that day came where I have nothing to do in the office and I ran out of things to blog, I came up in the idea of copying photos of shoes that I want and can sell. I had it sent to my officemates thru email and viola, the rest is history.

Although I have some obstacles along the way, like another friend who’s telling me that sooner or later, no one will buy my shoes and clothes na kasi it wasn’t everyday naman daw that people needs a new shoes. I was like “yah right (insert good friend’s name here) I know! And thanks for your support!” Oh yes, he/she is a good friend talaga. He/she was just a little frank about things.

I know it is still too early to say that I am successful in this field but I know this is one thing that I didn’t know I would love to do.

So, if you are looking for affordable yet classy and stylish shoes and clothes, drop by at my facebook page The Jeimis Shop and I’ll see you all there. =)

I will be blogging about some stuffs later, see y’all in a bit. =)

Bibibons Infant to Toddler Food

I'm back!!!

Sorry guys, I am really busy kasi on my small business  tapos when I wake up naman, I take care of James, bathe him and play with him. Come night time naman, I'll face my laptop and check on my newly established page! Oh diba?! May page na ang business natin? Lume level up?! Hehehe.

Pag may time kayo guys paki - like naman ha?! The Jeimis Shop.

I have kwento nga.

One time while in the office, I received a private message from my sister that James didn't go home yet and will be sleeping in his Tita Fraulene's house. I was like, No!!!! It's really hard kasi for me to go home there at night kasi the subdivision gate closes at 12midnight. In case, I can't go home before then, I have to go the long way pa. James had his sleepover in his Tita Fraulene's house when Nanay went back from Surigao almost 2 weeks ago. Anyway, what made me happy? When I found out that the Bibibon's arrived!!! I had it sent to their house pala, I forgot (Mom-nesia). Hehehe.

When we arrived home the next day, I can't wait any further to check on the Bibibons. I immediately checked the packaging and the nice free bowl. James has a new bowl to use whenever he eats.

A little background:

I originally saw the Bibibons in Puregold Las Pinas while looking for some baby food that I can introduce to James. I usually buy Cerelac for his daily set of food when I had a glimpse of Bibibons. I got a little curios kasi it says it's 2 in 1 baby food. It can be given as a finger food and can also transform to a healthy cereal. I was like "Cooool!". But I didn't buy one kasi I was short of money when I went there. I bring exact money lang when going to groceries so I won't over spend.

So when I had the chance to sign up for a sampler from Mommy Bloggers Philippines, I immediately signed up and hoping that I can get one to see if James would like it.

The biggest question is, did he like it?

He can't wait to open the box so he ate the box!

When I had the chance to swipe the box, I opened it and found small pouch where it has 6 nibblers inside. I gave one to see if he'll like it. I actually tried it too to find out how it tastes like. I would say that it is indeed for toddlers and babies because it wasn't sweet like those other biscuits. Mas matamis pa nga ang Marie Biscuit. Hehe.

He was trying to figure out how to hold the biscuit. Hehehe.

When he finally realized how to eat it, ayan na sya. Munch, munch, munch, munch!!

Later that afternoon, I also offered it as a finger food. I usually do this when he gets bored with his toys. With that, he will just sit and munch on his biscuit. I'll have a couple of minutes to rest with his all kakulitan.

I wasn't able to offer it as a cereal pa. Maybe this weekend. =)

Thank you so much Mommy Bloggers Philippines and to the makers of Rebisco for these sampler! My boy loved it so much!! =)

Don't forget to visit them on their website https://www.rebisco.com.ph/products.php?display=brand&id=159 for more information about Bibibons or like their page at https://www.facebook.com/Bibibons.

Some Family Time

I have not told you about our last weekend pa pala no?

Well, I am quite busy nowadays kaya I can't blog like I used to. I am trying to organize my small business kasi eh like creating a single file where all of my products will be there including the prices and another file that I can send to those who wants to resell my items. I am actually trying to experiment on the business and make it grow one step at a time. For those Mommies who has business, can you help me get an idea on how I can organize my shop like pricing etc. I'll appreciate it thanks! =)

Saturdays our for James. Since I only have couple of hours to spend time to him on weekdays, I make bawi on weekends. Saturdays are spent either at home taking care of him or in the mall, strolling. I am looking forward to spending more activities with James as soon as he learn to walk or play. Probably when he reached a year old no? Which is nearly a month to go. How about you Mommies? What are the activities you do together before your babies turn a year old?

Anyway, I badly wanted to bring James in a beach. I want him to smell the fresh air and feel how wonderful salt water is. Aside from it is good for our lungs, I heard it can make your coughs and colds go away. Besides, I want to reminisce the "traveling days" I had. You know the feeling of missing the cold breeze of the sea? The tiring tours but definitely worth every single second of being exhausted? I love traveling talaga. That's one thing I want to be able to do again when James get a little bit older.

So ayun nga, going back, Daddy Daryl, James and I went to SM Mall of Asia that afternoon to at least witness the sunset pero umulan. We went inside the mall and walk around to some stores. There was an activity going on. I don't know what it is but definitely there's a celebrity there kasi teenagers are shouting their lungs out. It was quite annoying you know? Hehehe. I don't want to be KJ here pero diba? I am a fan too pero I think it is not necessary to shout at magtitili dun kasi kahit mag tumbling ka jan eh wala naman mangyayari. Hehehe.

Since it was a Sunday, sobrang daming tao sa mall. Most of food places, punuan. We ate in Greenwich. I remembered eating here when I was 6 months pregnant with James. I think I missed their spaghetti and pizza.

We decided to check if the rain had stopped so we can stay on bay area. Luckily it didn't rain for long. We sat near the bay trying to smell kung may alat pa ba yung amoy ng dagat dun. Sadly, parang paubos na. Hahaha! We took photos then we watched some rides until James fell asleep and that's the end of our gala. One funny thing was, I brought my monopod with me so we can take photos - the 3 of us. However, my phone acted up so I wasn't able to take any photos. Luckily, Daddy brought another phone wala nga lang timer. Hahaha! So epic naman! And with that, I have just realized na wala palang self timer ang Nokia Lumia 520? Whew!

So that's the end of my kwento. Does anyone of you going to the Food and Drink Asia Event tomorrow? It's their last day.

James' 10th Mini Birthday

I think the last time I was able to write about James' monthly birthday celebration was when he was 8 months old. Anyway, August 23rd marks his 10th month birthday. You know I don't give him fancy celebration because of strict finances to follow although I am preparing the best cake for his first year birthday on October 23rd. =)

Time flew really fast that whenever I look at him, he looks like a grown up, around a year old maybe because of his height. After he got hospitalized due to Acute Gastroenteritis (blogged about it here), his chubbiness didn't go back anymore although the weight is still there. I am just thinking that he can't be that chubby because of his very active motor skills like walking, crawling etc. more than ever. He's really handful and wants to go left and right. Sometimes, I am at the edge of loosing my patience on him because he doesn't want to lie down so I can change his nappy. After our battle of putting nappies on, he will smile at me like nothing happened and it really melts me. I will then feel guilty that I am at the end of my patience so I am thinking, next time I'll make sure to double the length of it.

Before I show you his 10th mini birthday, I want to show you his 9th month but I can't find it just now. I have removed all photos from my memory card and transferred it here in my netbook to free up some space. I think it was on my other memory card. Well, I think I'll just have a different post about it. =)

We bought the Ultimate Chocolate Cake Junior from Red Ribbon to celebrate.

See how makulit he is? Grabe! He wants to touch the fire!!
So curious little bebe!
Look at his face! He's getting annoyed kasi Daddy is putting the cake away!

Now that he's 10 months old, He:

-  can walk while I am holding his both hands
- can stand up while leaning on something but not holding anything
- can crawl really, really fast
- shakes his head as a sign that he doesn't want something
- can make"gigil" showing his 2 small teeth
- laughs at a playmate who's much bigger kid thinking they're playing with him
- can recognize people's faces in short, nangingilala na sya so when I am not around, he cries
- loves Hi-5 and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Also Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood
- can climb on a small chair
- can also make a lot of sounds now like papapa then wawawa, mamama, abuuuu and a lot more
- will look at your mouth when you're chewing something and mimic it like he's chewing too
- knows appear/hi-5 and align (align fingers)

There are still a lot of things that he can do now and I know you'll get bored and I'll get sleepy thinking about all of them. Heheheh! =)

I am really proud with his milestones. I am no expert and doesn't know if his development are based his age but surely, I want him to take his own pace- no pressure at all baby!

Dear James,

Where did the time go? Parang kelan lang, I have just given birth to you. I can still remember my frustration whenever you cry at night. I really had a hard time. It's always been a regret to me for not being able to breastfeed you for as long as I can. If I can just bring back the time.
Anyway, I can see your character somehow and you react on things that you encounter. As I said, I am really glad on your milestones and I am always a one proud Mama.
We have been into a situation now that you always want me around. I missed another 5 days at work plus another 5 days the last time you were sick then plus 2 more when Nanay left to Surigao. I have been telling you this morning that I have to go to work and you should behave while Tita Grace is looking after you. You cried when you thought I left. I was watching you, while hiding outside the door. You're crying like crazy while my heart is breaking. I really wanted to carry you but I know I have to go. I know you have to learn to behave while I am away. Tita Grace carried you and you went fine although I know, for the rest of the day, you will be crying looking for me. Believe me, I badly want to be with you 24/7 and witness how you grow up but I have to go to work so we can give you whatever you need. I am sorry to leave you everyday but I want you to understand that this is all for you. I won't be doing this for nothing. You were my priority since the day that I found out that I am carrying you in my tummy. I know you'll understand this when you have your own family. Pero wag muna anak ha?! Hehehe. I will always love you my forever baby boy. =)

Love lots,
Mama

Tips On How to Stop your kids from Thumb-Sucking and Pacifier

When James was a month old, he's always been crying at night. I don't know why but he is. Maybe because of what they were referring as "colic"? I tried to offer his milk, he would decline and his crying goes on and on, non-stop! It was really frustrating. I can't do some me-time too like going to the restroom because he wants to be carried. There was this time pa that I overfed him kasi he was crying all the time, I thought he was hungry. Sumuka sya, siguro dahil sa puno na yung tyan nya ng milk! Bad mama. Hehe.

One time, we were in the grocery getting some supplies, I was surprised that there was a silicon pacifier on our basket. Nanay put one underneath of other stuffs so I won't see it. I was anti -pacifier kasi. I have been told that it can damage baby teeth daw and I don't want that to happen to James. Also, I don't want him to get used in pacifiers or thumb sucking because I know, it will be so hard to wean him from doing it. I don't want to go through the drama as this can be really a challenge for me as a mom.

When James was offered a pacifier, he behaved so much. He spends his time on his pacifier. This also became his sleeping companion until he reached 6 months old. Once his milk is finished, he would sleep only with his pacifier on. There was this time pa when he was 3months old, I think? We left his pacifier in Mcdonalds. I forgot that I put it on our table so that night, we bought several pacifiers available in Mercury Drug but James doesn't want any of them. What he wants was the silicon type which was way cheaper than that on Mercury Drugs if I may say. I had a hard time putting him to sleep because he missed his pacifier so much.

When he reached 6 months old, I was surprised that he no longer wants his pacifier. He can sleep without it and when he cries or wakes up in the middle of the night. I was so happy that I don't need to wean him as he did it himself. I don't know why but whenever I try to put his pacifier on, he seemed nauseous so I stopped and completely kept his pacifier away.

James at 4 months
Now to support those Mommies who're undergoing the fight of weaning their kids from pacifier and thumb sucking. I have enumerated some tips that could help us lessen the battle.

1. The earlier, the better. - It will be better if we will start weaning the kids from using pacifier/thumb sucking as early as possible as this will be easier because most likely, they have a hard time communicating what would make them comfortable. It will take all your patience and energy in weaning these on a toddler than a baby. In my case, James only uses his pacifier on bedtime or if Nanay or I will have to do chores.

2. Tastes - I remembered my mom telling stories about how she weaned my sister in thumb sucking. She said she put a small ginger on my sister's thumb so when she thumb suck, it will give her the impression of it tasting bad and would eventually stop them.

3. Lose it. - Some parents would intentionally keep the pacifier away from their kids so that they would forget about it sooner or later.

4. Slowly but surely - this means taking the use of pacifier gradually. It would be the ideal time like bedtime. With that, it will lessen their needs of it and would eventually let it go.I think this is what happened to James.

5. Let them stop when they want - Some mommies out there doesn't see the use of pacifier or thumb sucking a big deal. Their motto was to keep it until they wanted to as they would stop when they feel like stopping. In my case, I didn't agree with this last one. Thank God! James stopped in an early age. =)

How about you Mommies? Any tips that are not included here? I'll be happy to edit and link it back to your blogs. =)
