Electricity Bill for Summer

It was in December when Daryl and I lived by ourselves na.

It wasn't easy because both of us doesn't know how to run a household.

Well, hindi naman siguro kami nag-iisa jan. I know a lot of newlyweds or living in partners can attest to this.

For the past couple of months, December to start with, everything was according to how I planned it, at least in terms of utilities.

Our apartment was so presko, we only need one electric fan when we sleep. Our Ac unit was not used at all during the months of December to February. Anjan lang yan for display. The P400+ bill went that high because we had some DVD marathon (walking dead seasons 1-4) for how many days.

The things that we have at home that consumes electricity are :

1. 2 Electric fans
2. rice cooker
3. TV
4. DVD
5. Aircondition
6. 5 light bulbs

Magbayad ka ba naman ng P200 - P450 na kuryente eh.. Wow! Hayahay ang buhay.

Well, akala ko lang yun!

It's so effin' hot sa bahay namin!

I wonder what happened to the presko at maaliwalas na bahay!!

By early march, we have been using 2 electric fans na. I was really conscious of our electricity. Ayokong gumamit ng AC pag hindi naman ganun kainit. Yung tipong kaya pa ng electric fans where you can sleep comfortably.

We started using AC at night for only 1 to 2 hours then we'll close the room and use one electric fan. We lived by it for weeks but when months of April and May came, we use the AC every night. From 11pm to 6am or 8am.

Sabi ko sa sarili ko:

Me: Di bale ng magbayad ako ng mejo malaki this month, sobrang init eh. Hindi makatulog si Jami, pinagpapawisan sa gabi. Kawawa naman sya. Kaya nga ako nag ta trabaho para kahit paano, makapag provide ako ng pangangailangan nya.

Me: Siguro mga nasa 800 to 1k na ang kuryente ko nito.

Gaaaahhhdddd!! Dumoble ako nung April, then triple nung May!!!

Parang gusto kong umiyak!

Ang hirap pala mag bayad ng ganto kalaking bill. Ang sakit sa bangs, sa veins, sa kasu-kasuan!!

Hay jusko!

I know a lot of you would say na mababa pa nga ang bill na yan because a lot of people I know had 4k-6k electric bill for one month. Nawindang lang talaga ako ng slight. Coming from P250 na bill tapos biglang P1,600++? Parang gusto kong tumambling talaga!! Huhu! Wala pa kaming ref nitong lagay na 'to. Pano na lang pag meron na?!

Anyway, since rainy days are coming, I am hoping na hindi na kami gagamit ng ac in the coming months para makatipid naman ng slight. Hayy..Wala naman akong maisip na tipirin pa sa bahay kasi mga basic lang naman ang mga gamit namin eh. Maybe the ilaw na lang.

My Mandaue Foam Bed Frames Wishlist

Last weekend, I found our house really really messy.

Can you see all of those clutter? It's everywhere! I only showed you one part of our bedroom. The other part was a lot worse. I was planning to do some renovations however, we don't have a bed frame (only the mattress) so I can't clean our bedroom really well. We originally had one whoever, we opted to remove the frame since we can't all fit in the bed (Jami, I and Daryl). We had a semi - double bed so it can only accommodate 2 persons at a time and Jami needs a lot of space so he can do this..

I want to re-arrange the bedroom and cabinets and change it's position sa kung saan mas mukang makakaluwag. Yun nga lang, our bedroom is really small -  I mean the house itself is really small kaya mejo mahirap talaga ayusin. Lately, nasisikipan na ako sa bahay namin.  So far, we have two bed mattresses that we put in together. I can't arrange the cabinets the way I want it kasi hindi magkakasya yung dalawang mattress.

I am planning to save money for a nice bed (but not expensive bed) soon. I went to Mandaue Foam website to check their bed frames, and here are what's on my wishlist.

I think I liked the last one better kasi mejo petite looking eh. Hehe. :p

Napansin nyo ba? may range lang ng price talaga yung mga pinili ko. Hehehe. I think kasi, mas madali silang pag ipunan with that amount although meron pa talagang mas magagandang bed pero mas mahal, as you know. There were also metal framed bed na available on their website which comes in a cheaper price pero mas prefer ko talaga ang wood. Mukang mas matibay kasi eh. Our old bed frames came in metal too so for a change lang.. Although it is quite handy given na pwede mong i assemble tapos kalasin anytime and it's an advantage sa mga nagre - rent pa lang ng house. I also wanted a queen size bed kasi mas kakasya na kami dun.

Take note that the prices are only for the frame itself, wala pa dyan ang mattress. Gosh! So expensive! :p

Welcome to Our House

As I mentioned here in my blog, Daryl and I started living together. Well, we were planning to have our civil wedding anytime soon, it’s just that, I am too excited to live my life with James on our own little house.

I lived with my Mom and 2 brothers until James reached a year old. Nanay wants to get me a nanny since she’s having a hard time taking care of James. He’s quite handful at sobrang bantayin pa talaga. I don’t want to get a nanny naman ng wala akong sariling house.

This I consider as one of my blessings before year 2014 ended. I had my own house to run and no longer have to consider anyone else’s decision.

I was actually torn in where to get our new house. Whether it would be in Pasay or Las Pinas. Daryl wanted to live in Pasay as it was closer to her mom since she’ll be alone. Well, I wanted in Las Pinas which is closer to my family. I know I can trust James to them in case of emergency and I am at work. Just like what happened when my nanny badly want to get home with lahat ng kinuha nya sa bahay ko. That was the same story I posted here. I’ll update you with that a little later.

Anyhow, Nanay found a house walking distance away from their house which was the same apartment that I am looking at whenever I take James to a walk. There was this one compound apartment na parang ang aliwalas talaga ng labas.

I’ll tour you around inside our house. Mejo maliit lang at walang masyadong gamit pa. There were some appliances na ipinamana naman sakin ni Nanay hehe.

Mejo makalat ang bahay kaya pag pasensyahan nyo na ha?! Hehe..

This was the main door. In front of that was a big boring wall.. heheh! Our sala was only one dipa lang. Sobrang sikip kaya walang sofa. The Tv doesn't work pa. Wala pa kasing cable eh. =) 

 This is what you'll see upon entry. Ginawa lang ni Nanay yung wood na patungan as temporary. That is where we put our pingganan, rice cooker and anything na kasya. Hehehe.

This is what will you  see naman when you walk towards the wood na lalagyan. That door leads to our restroom that I opt not to take pictures of. Heheh. Okay naman ang restroom. Maliit lang but pwede na. =)

 

This is our room naman. That's our bed. Underneath was James' laundry basket. That was really small, I bought it for 60pesos on Japan home. The a.c was courtesy of Daryl's mom. =)

Currently, there was a vacant house na in front of the apartment. Ours kasi sa dulo pa talaga although maaliwalas at tahimik talaga ang place. I forgot to take picture outside the house and the mismong apartment eh. Anyhow, we were checking kung makakalipat ba kami sa harap. There was only 500pesos difference and mas malaki ang sala kasi nun. Daryl wants to talk about it kasi he doesn't want to move na. I said mag uusap pa kami pag uwi ko from work. Heheh.

Daryl : Be, bakit sabi lilipat daw tayo ng bahay?
Me : Ha? Bakit? Sinong nagsabi?
Daryl : Yung may - ari! Sabi nya lilipat daw tayo kasi may tumingin ng bahay eh, yung bahay natin yung pinakita.

Hahahaha! It was funny talaga. I cant believe it na yung bahay namin yung inooffer sa mga taong naghahanap ng malilipatan. Anyway, I'll let you guys know kung lilipat ba kami oh hindi. =)
