San Fabian Beach 2015

This was the part 2 of our Pangasinan trip two weekends ago.

Our initial plan was to go to Baguio for a day tour. Yung tipong ma feel mo lang yung masarap at malamig na weather? We supposed to be waking up really early before the sunrise so I can bring James sa dagat. It was best daw kasi early in the morning, malakas daw makapagpatibay ng lungs. Daryl’s mom will go to Manaoag to have their car blessed daw so right after our beach, they will pick us up then we’ll go to Baguio na.

I woke up around 6am siguro, it was dark outside and I can’t find my phone so hindi ko sure kung anong oras talaga ako nagising. I looked at Daryl and he was still hot, nilalagnat kasi kaya I opted not to proceed with our morning beach tour. I don’t like to go out naman with James that early kasi hindi ko kabisado ang place.

I slept again and woke up around 9am na. Daryl’s mom said na we should be leaving for Baguio at 10am so we can go down na by 3pm kasi ma fog na daw dun and would be really hard to drive. Although they hired naman a personal driver, mahihirapan daw kasi tinted ang kotse then bababa na ang mga fog. However, it was around 10:30am na, wala pa din ang mom ni Daryl so I knew hindi na tuloy ang Baguio namin. I was really sad kasi I am hoping to go there. It will be James’ first time sana, may firs time with Daryl and our first time all together. I have decided to go to the beach na lang kasi I brought a beach attire for James. Sayang naman kung pati yun hindi mapapakinabangan. As much as possible, gusto kong ma experience ni James ang mga bagay na sa tingin ko is maganda, just like any other Moms do. I know travelling could be really nice kaya I want to hit two birds in one stone sana (Pangasinan then Baguio).

We went to the beach at around 11am na ata. Mainit ang panahon that time so we rode a tricycle going there. I didn’t bring pa naman a sunblock so my plan was to stay for only 5-10 minutes. I can’t swim that long din naman because I have my monthly period. However, naawa naman ako kay James that he can’t even swim so I told Daryl that I’ll swim na lang.

Well, it wasn’t really swimming naman, we went sa may shore, I sat down so the water was chest deep of James. He got scared.. He was crying without tears. I have to carry him all along while I can’t go too far naman kasi ang lakas ng alon, baka matumba ako eh hindi pa naman ako marunong lumangoy. Buti sana if it was just me, eh karga ko pa si James. I won’t risk hehe. Nilublob ko si James sa water for a split second. Hehehe he cried for a while pero ok naman sya. Lumabas nga yung sipon eh hehe. I was told kasi ilublob daw ng saglit na saglit sa tubig dagat kasi it’s good daw eh.

After how many minutes, umahon na kami, I took off his shirt tapos binalutan ko lang ng towel then we went home na. We took the pedicab on our way back to the house. James kept on looking at our feet, puro buhangin kasi.

I bathed him immediately, wala na ngang warm water so mejo nilamig sya ng slight.. hehehe..

On lunch time, while waiting for Daryl’s Mom to arrive, we went to their church was just couple of blocks away then to palengke. Kumain ng burger at naglakad lakad ng slight. I appreciate that Daryl toured us around where he grew up. I was thinking tuloy of how does he look like when he was a younger kid in that community. Their place was really peaceful, malinis at walang traffic!! Hehehe. Yung tipong ang fresh ng air? Ang sarap lang..

We had our afternoon nap then hit our way back to Manila at around 3pm.

We took TPLEX again which made our way home faster. 

We stopped over at a Mega Station in Pampanga to take our dinner then arrived in Pasay at 9pm.

Binaba lang yung mga bagahe then we went home in Las Pinas na at around 10pm. It was really tiring! Pero sulit naman ang first time ni James sa beach!!! =) Hoping for more out of town trip with James and Daryl.. =)

Book Review | 7 Things Every Wife Should Know

Marriage is a very complex topic. I have seen it thru my parents which gave me an impression that it was a great gift from God. I have been very blessed to have a parents that worked hard for their relationship to last until my Dad died. I have never seen them fight nor throw things at each other. I can’t remember hearing them curse each other too so that gave me an idea that marriage was one beautiful thing.

As I was growing up, I have witnessed marriage that has been broken apart. I have seen this with my brother and I felt sad that they weren’t able to keep it. Well anyway, that was their choice.

Viviene, the author of this book of 7 Things Every Wife Should Know covered everything that every women should practice every now and then. I would say ‘practice’ because it wasn’t automatic that you would be, for once, a submissive to your husband. Especially to newlyweds, you would often think that your choice and your opinion as a woman is much more important, as you think that it was the greatest choice ever. This book made me realize how to become a wife to Daryl as I have the tendency to be nagmamarunong. I felt I know everything and I make the best decisions for our family not realizing that it was no longer just me. He should be the King and I am the Queen. What does queens do ba? They would follow King’s order too although it doesn’t mean that the Queen doesn’t have the capability to voice out. Diba nga, Every Great Woman is behind every great Man?

This book talked about TRIUMPH which was honestly, very new to me. Upon reading this, tinamaan ako here and there as I admit that I have flaws every now and then but putting God in the center of our relationship, everything goes well.

One thing that I liked about this book was, it has an activity part where you can reflect on the topic that was discussed. I have tried to follow these and believe me, everything went better from our everyday life to how we communicate etc. I recommend this book not just for wives but for every woman, as this book did a great job in tackling every aspects of a happy marriage.

A Visit to Daryl's Hometown

Two weekends ago, We went to Pangasinan to attend a Christian wedding. It was a small civil wedding of Daryl’s kinakapatid. It was held at the President’s Hotel Annex in Lingayen, Pangasinan. We arrived late so hindi na namin naabutan yung ceremony. It was on the kissing part na and the food. 

We slept late on Friday and woke up really early in Saturday morning. We hit the road at 5am and arrived in Pangasinan at 10am. Hindi kasi kabisado ng Mom ni Daryl yung easier way kaya mejo natagalan ng slight. Anyhow, we arrived safely.

If there’s one thing that I learned with this travel, that was travelling at night so Jami will be asleep. Mejo nahirapan kasi ako when he woke up while were still on the road. Sumuka sya ng bongga so we have to stop over to clean myself and him. Hindi ko na sya pinalitan ng damit when we left. He was wearing his sleep wear until we changed it nung nagsuka sya. Sobrang nakakaawa lang so I told myself na never ever na kaming mag la land travel during the time na he’s awake lalo na kung more than 5 hours ang travel time. Awang – awa ako sa kanya kasi I know that he’s very tired na din from being carried while sitting down tapos may motion sickness pa.

Anyhow, he didn’t throw tantrums on me naman. When we arrived sa house ng kumare ng Mom ni Daryl, Ninang Chit of Daryl, we changed clothes lang then we did convoy with someone going to where the wedding is being held. James was so makulit pa din so Daryl and I have to alternately take him for a walk.

  

 

Soon after, the wedding is done then we went back to Ninang Chit’s house so we can rest for a bit. Their plan was to have a night over to their hometown in San Fabian which was an hour drive from Lingayen. We were trying to take a nap while Daryl’s Mom was having chika but James won’t sleep/ Probably because he slept when we were on our way so I have to wake up kasi ayaw ko naman na he will be far away from me. Separation anxiety lang ang peg ko. Heheh.

After some time, we stayed outside while I practice ng atras abante sa kotse. Automatic naman so madali lang although scary kasi panaka – naka yung pagdaan ng mga sasakyan. We also took the opportunity to have some photo ops in the bukid hehehe. We saw a cow and told James that it was “baka” and he was saying “ka-ka”. I can confirm that he can now follow whatever we do and say. =)

We left Lingayen short after then went home to San Fabian. Daryl’s Mom went to Dagupan pa to buy some goods for pasalubong while we stayed at home, rest for a bit then pinilit na namin si Daryl na magpunta sa beach. 

Their house is close to the beach kasi. Although hindi mo aakalain kasi ang place looks like a subdivision ditto sa Manila dahil sa lawak ng spaces and the houses looks somehow like here in the city but quieter. We rode a pedicab going to the beach. It was a bit cold so I brought a bonnet for James.

 

I was really glad to smell the ocean talaga. Ngayon na lang kasi ulit since nabuntis ako kay James. I removed his shoes then let him walk in the sand. I like their beach kasi the sand is not white pero pino. Ang lakas ng waves and sobrang cold ng air.. Nakakarelax talaga.. I missed those days na pa travel – travel lang ako.. =(

We stayed on the beach for only 5-10 minutes. We didn’t stay long kasi it was so cold, I don’t want Jami getting sick although I know na maganda ang ocean breeze talaga, it’s better sa morning daw. I only had hjs feet soaked then nabasa na lang ang shorts nya because of the waves. James was quiet watching the ocean as if he was surprised na may ganun pala kalaking balde ng tubig. He was contented kasi with water on timba kapag naliligo yan so he must be surprised to see that amount of water. Hehehe.

 

We went home before the sunset, took a quick rest then ate our dinner which was inihaw na bangus. Ang sarap ng bangus grabe sobrang sariwa talaga. Later that night, Daryl got sick. He wasn’t feeling well that day and it went straight to fever. 

It was fun and tiring.. i loved the beach pero miss ko na ang white beach with with sand with a nice hotel. hehehe. Part two will be up soon.. =)

But, if you really have extreme fear of heights, you could just avail the Trekking and Skywalk in which you would walk around Tree Top’s area and go up the skywalk area, or the viewing deck in which you could see the mountains of Itogon, Benguet or what they call the old Baguio before. You could stay at the Skywalk areas long as you want to take pictures and feel the cold breeze.

Welcome to Our House

As I mentioned here in my blog, Daryl and I started living together. Well, we were planning to have our civil wedding anytime soon, it’s just that, I am too excited to live my life with James on our own little house.

I lived with my Mom and 2 brothers until James reached a year old. Nanay wants to get me a nanny since she’s having a hard time taking care of James. He’s quite handful at sobrang bantayin pa talaga. I don’t want to get a nanny naman ng wala akong sariling house.

This I consider as one of my blessings before year 2014 ended. I had my own house to run and no longer have to consider anyone else’s decision.

I was actually torn in where to get our new house. Whether it would be in Pasay or Las Pinas. Daryl wanted to live in Pasay as it was closer to her mom since she’ll be alone. Well, I wanted in Las Pinas which is closer to my family. I know I can trust James to them in case of emergency and I am at work. Just like what happened when my nanny badly want to get home with lahat ng kinuha nya sa bahay ko. That was the same story I posted here. I’ll update you with that a little later.

Anyhow, Nanay found a house walking distance away from their house which was the same apartment that I am looking at whenever I take James to a walk. There was this one compound apartment na parang ang aliwalas talaga ng labas.

I’ll tour you around inside our house. Mejo maliit lang at walang masyadong gamit pa. There were some appliances na ipinamana naman sakin ni Nanay hehe.

Mejo makalat ang bahay kaya pag pasensyahan nyo na ha?! Hehe..

This was the main door. In front of that was a big boring wall.. heheh! Our sala was only one dipa lang. Sobrang sikip kaya walang sofa. The Tv doesn't work pa. Wala pa kasing cable eh. =) 

 This is what you'll see upon entry. Ginawa lang ni Nanay yung wood na patungan as temporary. That is where we put our pingganan, rice cooker and anything na kasya. Hehehe.

This is what will you  see naman when you walk towards the wood na lalagyan. That door leads to our restroom that I opt not to take pictures of. Heheh. Okay naman ang restroom. Maliit lang but pwede na. =)

 

This is our room naman. That's our bed. Underneath was James' laundry basket. That was really small, I bought it for 60pesos on Japan home. The a.c was courtesy of Daryl's mom. =)

Currently, there was a vacant house na in front of the apartment. Ours kasi sa dulo pa talaga although maaliwalas at tahimik talaga ang place. I forgot to take picture outside the house and the mismong apartment eh. Anyhow, we were checking kung makakalipat ba kami sa harap. There was only 500pesos difference and mas malaki ang sala kasi nun. Daryl wants to talk about it kasi he doesn't want to move na. I said mag uusap pa kami pag uwi ko from work. Heheh.

Daryl : Be, bakit sabi lilipat daw tayo ng bahay?
Me : Ha? Bakit? Sinong nagsabi?
Daryl : Yung may - ari! Sabi nya lilipat daw tayo kasi may tumingin ng bahay eh, yung bahay natin yung pinakita.

Hahahaha! It was funny talaga. I cant believe it na yung bahay namin yung inooffer sa mga taong naghahanap ng malilipatan. Anyway, I'll let you guys know kung lilipat ba kami oh hindi. =)
