My Version of "No Make Up Make Up"

Yah, I am running out of something to post! Hehe. It must be the weather no?! It's cold nowadays. Ang sarap lang matulog maghapon tapos manood ng DVD. =)

Anyway, as I have mentioned to you multiple times, I am not a fan of make-ups. I can go a day any day without wearing one. Just like now, while I was writing this post, I remember not having eyebrows pa hahaha! Kaya nag pause muna ako.

Ayan, may kilay na ako! :) Go na..

What I would like to share with you today is how I do my everyday look in the office. It's not too much, I tell you. I call this my own version of "no make up make up". Hahaha! Please don't judge me on how I do my make up ha?! You know naman I just recently loved them so I am still not fond of it. Walang okrayan ok?! Ready?

When I leave the house, I am not wearing make ups yet. The time I learned putting creams and pressed powder on was last summer. I don't want to put make-ups on then pagdating sa office, haggard na ulit because of the weather so I prefer to do it in the office. However, there were times that I am so busy I would forget so I end up putting make ups at around 3pm na or 4pm (the latest).

Now here's how I do it.

First, I make sure to wash my face with clean water. Hindi natin alam during the time that we're on our way to work, naalikabukan or nalagyan ng kug ano-ano so just to be safe, I'll wash my face then dry it using a tissue na lang.

Before photo :p

Second, I put Simply pretty BB Cream from Avon. Couple of weeks ago, napansin ko na parang ang dali nyang nauubos. Then I realize na sobrang dami ko ata maglagay na parang hindi na nya nako complement yung skin. I've learned from that so I put only an ample amount to cover my whole face including my neck. There were times when I am too lazy to put BB cream, I'll just stick with number 3 which is pressed powder.

Third, Sealed the look with a pressed powder. To absorb and complement the BB Cream, I put on a pressed powder. I always put an ample amount to just to cover the face and the neck area.

Fourth, I'll shape my brows. I have a thick and uneven brows so I have to maintain it. I usually pluck my brows every 3 days just to remove those hair that are growing at the same time, they would not have a chance to sneak through those that I should keep. Para hindi na rin ako malito sa ayos ng eyebrows ko. Anyway, I am not even sure if my eyebrows is bagay on my face since hindi ko alam tumingin ng pantay sa hindi. Just to make everything annoying lalo, I have a puyo at the end of my left brow so I have to eliminate those hairs that our growing inwardly then just draw my brow. One day, I'll go to Brow Haus talaga promise!! By the way, I am using Maybelline in the shade of gray which I bought couple of years ago na recently ko lang naman nagamit. I want it because it's a little lighter than my hair color when I put it on. Yun lang, the last time I asked a Maybelline stall in SM Southmall before, they said that it's an old version something and they no longer have these na daw. =( I'll check soon if they still carry this.

Fifth, I'll put a blusher. Just so my face won't look pale of dull because of the BB Cream and the powder, blusher is important too. It adds glow to face. =) I had the Blushing pink of Nichido. Unfortunately, tumalon sya when I was looking for something inside my make up bag. Ayon, awa ng Dyos naging loose powder na sya =(

Sixth step is to put a mascara to open up my eyes. My officemate said that my eyes looks sleepy daw so I have to put a mascara on to add a sparkle into it. (Naks) hehehe! I would then use an eyelash curler. Daryl said he would like my eyelashes curled up so I always make sure that they are nice. =)

Lastly a lipstick. I have the Simply pretty in Lucky Orange and Endlessly pink (both from Avon).

Now here's how I look like after..

Hahaha! Walang okrayan ok?! Oo nga pala, I have not curled my eyelashes yet here. Pinapatuyo ko pa kasi ng slight eh. Hehe =)

Para di na kayo mahirapan to see if something has been changed, I placed them together.

Before and After photo
Hehehe. Sooner or later, I plan to try other products in the market to see which one will suite the best for me. For the meantime, I am sticking to Simply Pretty Avon Collection until I ran out of them. =)

Kayo? How do you make yourself pretty and presentable?! Share naman!! =)

New Make Up Tools + Being Nostalgic

I am not a makeup person. Period!

Back in high school, we had a cosmetology subject where manicure, pedicure, nail arts, hair cuts, and make up were being taught. Since I am against using anything to my face, I didn't learn the proper way of applying make-ups, didn't learn nail arts, besides no one wants to model for my haircut service, baka kasi ma murder ko ang hair nila. All along, naiisip ko na pang kikay at pang malalandi lang ang make-ups.

Oh wag nyo akong sabunutan, yan talaga ang naiisip ko noon eh. Whenever I see people with make-ups on, lalo na yung obvious tapos wala naman party or events, maarte na agad ang tingin ko.

Yuh.. judgemental na ako!

When I went to college, I learned how to fix my hair, put blusher.. that's it. But it's very very minimal. Yung masabi lang ba na hindi naman ako chaka.

Anyway, when I had my first job, I am against make ups pa din. I still think that it's not necessary. Simplicity is the best talaga, yan ang lagi kong motto. Hahah! I may not love make-ups but I am a frustrated fashionista. I am too conscious of my clothes, I should not underdress or overdress.

One of the weddings that I attended in 2012

One month pregnant here. =) I didn't know pa.

Time passed by, I had a baby, still doesn't like make - ups and anything about skin care. I hated all of it until one day,

We were going to a wedding since FMIL will be a Ninang daw. We would all go since Daryl will drive for her. I borrowed a dress from my sister so that saved me from my #ootd dilemma. My hair is too long and frizzy but I know how to braid it so it also saved me from looking like chaka however, I don't have a powder, or a blusher. I only have a lipstick with me that I used as a blusher.

Kawawa to the highest levelz!!

Gosshh.. I came to think, what happen to the kikay, maarte and fashionista me?! Where did she go?

That didn't stop there.. Lagi akong namomroblema sa mga isusuot ko on events like wedding, debuts or any formal event or gathering. I always bother my sister of something that I can borrow. I mean, I always do that back in the days but now, due to my post-partum body, I can't fit on most of her clothes. I can only borrow some. =( I guess I have to invest on clothes now.. As in now na! Sana bukas umulan ng madaming pang - shopping. Hahaha! =)

One night, before we went to sleep..

Me: Babe, magkakaron ako ng extra money by July, iniisip ko kung ibibili ko ba sya ng kama or ipangpapa-rebond ko na lang ng hair ko.

Daryl: Ipangpa rebond mo na lang. Hayaan mo na yang kama, ok pa naman tayo dito eh. Alagaan mo naman ang sarili mo.

Awwww... I am so touched lang.

Pero naisip ko, baka ang chaka ko na talaga kaya sinabi nyang alagaan ko naman ang sarili ko. Gaaaahhd!!

All along, pinagdadamutan ko ang sarili ko dahil mas importante ang mga gamit sa bahay, grocery, utilities and savings. I forgot to take care of myself. I am still fat, I never got back to my pre-pregnancy body. My hair is sooo long, dry, frizzy, ugly so it's always on a bun. I don't have any make up tools to save me in an emergency party or event. I no longer have a little black dress in my closet. I don't have enough jeans for office wear, my dresses are all old, my tops were very limited. =(

Parang gusto kong maiyak! Hayyy..

Don't get me wrong guys. Hindi kami mayaman so hindi branded ang mga damit ko dati but at least, I can buy one or two clothes every payday. I can buy heels during sale, I use my 13th month pay to have a hair treatment yearly, I am self proclaimed "fashionista" in my very own way. I have never been sexy with flat tummy levelz pero I am not fat, tama lang kung baga. I have time to Mani - Pedi myself etc.

Now, I can't do all that. We have enough things on our plate for me to think about those. I miss it so much.

One of the wedding I attended last month

Yah.. Motherhood changed it all. Hindi naman ako nagsisisi. I love my life now, I am happier, patient, loving, and selfless. I love Jami and Daryl everyday.. Motto nga namin eh, We.always.go.together.

Pero hindi about jan talaga ang iba blog ko eh, sorry na carried away lang.. Hahaha!

What I want to show you is, because of those scenario.. I am trying to be better. I want to be as beautiful as I am before. I want to be able to wear nice fitting clothes without thinking about my bulging tummy. I used to be a suki of selfie but because I feel so ugly, I don't want to take picture of myself anymore.

Gone are the days.. in the past weeks,

I learned how to shape my eyebrows.
I learned to maintain it and use brow pencil to modify it more.
I learned to use BB Cream and Face Powder.
I learned that Daryl likes my eyelashes curled up so I bought a mascara to make it fuller.
I relearned that my face will look slimmer if I flaunt my hair.
I relearned to gain the confidence I lost when I gave birth.

Although, I can't get back on shape overnight, I want to start doing something about it. People in the office says I'm getting payat daw pero ang hindi nila alam, that's because of my new hair haha!

So for the record, I am filling up my make up kits slowly. I have everything that I need on a daily basis and that's enough to save me on any urgent parties or events/gatherings so I won't look like sobrang haggard naman.

I originally posted this photo on my post about what's in my bag last week.

I started with avon cosmetics since they are not that expensive and I don't want to risk naman trying out something I got in the market tapos end up na di ko bet so mostly yan, suggestion ng mga officemate ko which I think compliments my skin color naman.

I still have some missing that I got recently after that post was made. Here they are:

Avon Brush set for only P99 (on sale)

Nichido Blushing Pink Shade for P88
I loved the brush set, sobrang lambot. Before I got the blusher on my birthday, I borrowed one from my officemate (blusher and brush) and her's is breaking like powder because her brush is kind of matigas. When I bought the same blusher, I noticed that mine doesn't break so I told her na baka masyadong matigas yung brush nya. I liked the blusher. That's actually my officemate's shade din. It's pink so hindi mukang sinampal ang fez ko. =)

For the mean time, kuntento na ako sa make up kit ko. What I am planning to do is to invest on moisturizer naman since they can make your skin younger.. tama ba?

Kayo? Any recommendations on what's the best moisturizer?

The Secret? Bio-Oil

When I was pregnant with James, I wasn't worried about stretch marks. I was very careful not to scratch my tummy and even put a lotion when I was 3 to 4 months pregnant. I was so proud having a very makinis na tummy while my pregnancy is at peak.

I hit my 5th month and still proud. Whenever I go to sleep, I'll tuck my shirt into my shorts so in case that I'll unconsciously scratch my tummy, I would still have a cloth barrier to avoid the scratch. It seemed very effective..
no scratches/stretch marks until 5th month
...until my sister noticed that I am having an unnoticeable stretch marks in the puson part. I immediately checked it in the mirror and saw lines that are not visible. I was really sad knowing that I won't be able to wear bikinis anymore (I never got to wear one anyway, I always wear shorts :p).

While my tummy is getting bigger everyday, the stretch marks were getting darker, it even went red. Look at the photo below..

Hindi nyo nakita? I asked Daryl kasi to cover it with his hand eh hehehe. :p That part as to where his hand is placed is where the stretch marks are. I had the chance to put lotion on only until 4 months. I stopped it because I felt my tummy is so malagkit given that summer is at peak too during those days.

I have read online that stretch marks are also genetics so if your Mom had stretch marks, you are most likely to have too. Sadly, my mom had some pero hindi naman worse. There were certain parts lang. I too had the battle scar as I gave birth thru c-section so that completes the puson part to have stretchmarks and a scar. On the first few months of my post-partum body, I was really sad and I can't accept the fact that my beautiful and makinis na tummy is gone. I missed it so much, I want it back.

As time goes by, I learned to accept the fact that the battle scar and the stretch marks are all part of being a parent, being a mom to a very beautiful son. It's all worth it.. As of the moment., 19 months after I gave birth, the skin looked a little bit crumpled but stretchmarks turned white but visible. Although I am not able to wear two piece in the beach anymore, I am still glad that it wasn't the full tummy that was affected. I still have some part of it to flaunt :p

While searching for the best solution to lessen the visibility of my stretch marks, I went to some stores in the mall to check what's in store for me. There were a lot of them however, they're all expensive. I can't afford a lotion/cream for P700-900, way over my budget.

One time in the office, I was checking online and found a review about Bio-Oil. What caught my attention is the price, it was below P500 which I think I can spare for myself. My eldest sister bought one and used it. I asked her if it was effective and she said yes.

How? She just gave birth less than 6 months ago to her fourth baby. Her tummy is a lot bigger compared to the three previous pregnancy she had. She said that she didn't acquire anymore stretch marks on her fourth pregnancy. She even let her eldest daughter to use it as she had some stretch marks on her butt area.

Had I known this before, I should have given it a try which could have lessen the chance of my fully grown stretch marks. Anyway, I know it wasn't really late to use one since it can still can help improve the appearance of my existing stretch marks.

I am so glad to give it a try and I think it would be a staple on my beauty regimen. =)

#Kilayproblems

You know guys, I was born having a not so pretty eyebrows. It was “makapal”, shapeless and on my left brow, there was a “puyo’’ in the end. Having that said, it was really hard for me to shape it correctly.

When I was younger, it has always been my eldest sister who takes care of it. Most of the time, I let it grow because I really don’t know how to maintain it. I always forget to shave or pluck the growing brows so it ends up going back to its usual thick grown hair. (Parang chaka pakinggan? Haha.) Anyway, I never cared about it because I thought it wasn’t really that important. I never gave attention to it besides, I grew up to a place where everyone seemed to be so conservative even if they don’t. If you put a make up on, it’s as if you are flirting. Just like Gladys of Pinay Mom said when she uncover her skin’s condition. You know? Those people who pretend they do things perfectly? Mga insekyora in short. Hahaha #charot.

I never trusted a salon, or anyone to touch my brows because I don’t want them to make it chaka even more and I don’t have the budget to go to a very well trusted salon like Brow House.

Fast forward to today, I had my officemate fixed my eyebrows. My sister said that it was too thin daw and I look older. My brows should be a little bit thicker than it is as of the moment. I should use a lighter shade of eyebrow pencil din daw because maputi naman ako. What my officemate did kasi was to follow the “puyo” until it is all gone and all I have to do is a little magic with the help of eyebrow pencil. My sister told me to let it grow back again and she will fix it for me but I am so lazy to do so kasi ang dumi tingnan if there are hair growing everywhere diba? So what I always do it is pluck those small hairs agad. I don’t know! It’s just that, well I don’t really know how to fix it correctly and to take care of it.  I have been watching videos about eyebrows and how to shape it correctly with an eyebrow pencil pero whenever I face the mirror, hindi ko na alam gagawin ko.

Currently, I am using the Nichido Chestnut Brown eyebrow pencil for P138.00 only.

That is how my eyebrows look like. Yay o Nay?

How about you Mommies? How do you shape your brows?

Lips I got

I know! I have been absent from blogging world for almost half month of October! Haha! Been such a bad blooger eh? Now that I am no longer a teen, I bet I can wear something that a lady wear to make a statement even she's wearing the simplest outfit she can find nor not having a make up at all - a lipstick. I mean, when I was a kid, I don't wear one since it feels heavy. I can't open my mouth properly. I am so conscious of my lips. There were lipsticks and gloss that I didn't like at all because of that feeling aside from the fact that people would tease me. Haha! So.. Let me share to you what makes me love them this time. I discovered a store at Multiply where my fave blogger buys her stuff. When I get the chance to buy one, I was so happy with it as I have shared with you on my previous post here.

xx Nyx Matte Lipstick
xx Nyx Matte lipstick (lovely case isn't it?)
xx Nyx Round Lipstick
xx Nyx Soft Lip Cream (comes in 11 colors)

Those were the wonderful ones I ordered so far. I got the Strawberry Daiquiri on Nyx Matte Lipstick, Femme on Round Lipstick, Antwerp and Stockholm on Nyx Soft Lip Cream. What I love about them is that it's not heavy. It's as if you're not wearing one. I prefer thin coat so it would not look like I got them and appear as my lips were pinkish. Hihi! :)

Have you tried them? Which one did you pick?

Since I don't have an international card I can use to buy these stuffs abroad, I get to shop at Digital Traincase.

*photos came from Nyx Cosmetics and;official banner of Digital Traincase.

Also, I had a change of blog title. I bet this will be the final one. I never get to realize that having a blog title is necessary. I guess it is. :)

Keep Loving!

The killer wedge

I think I forgot to mention to you that I am attending a debut. It was my boyfriend's cousin 18th birthday. I honestly can't think of any dress that would be appropriate. I mean, most of my dresses were color black and definitely my mom won't allow me to attend such if I am wearing those colors! You know, for elderly superstitions that really ruins a fashion statement eh? hehe!

Now, Here's what I wore. I might be a little bit familiar on the dress since it was my sister's dress. She wore it here. I thought of just wearing a simple yet head - turning dress. Hehe! It is actually a multi-way dress we bought in Glorietta, Makati last year. It was backless which really challenge your guts to walk while people looking at you. Hahah! Shame! Also my sister did my make up and hair which I really love. I mean it's not that heavy but I felt really confident about it. I really liked the way she shaped my eyebrow. I really don't know how to shape it myself or even put an eyebrow pencil on it so I always ask her to teach me which I never get to learn! hehehe! Poor me..

xx multiway dress from The Ramp
xx Shoes(Old) - Parisian
xx Bag - Queen Street
xx Bangle(Old) - genevive

I'm sorry about the quality of the photos. I don't own a DSLR yet much as I want!. I was really tired wearing a 4 inch wedge. I wore it for about 5 hours standing and walking yet my sandals was a feet saver! whew! I almost lost my feet there! haha! "yan ang tinatawag na tiis-ganda! hahaha!"
No longer making sense.. haha! Cut!!

*don't forget to hype my look on lookbook.nu or follow me thru GFC.

iLove Laybare

I never thought of having my unwanted hair waxed. I do have friends who were shaving their legs to avoid those annoying hair, I asked them and they were convincing me to do the same since my legs were hairy. I mean, my legs doesnt look like a leg of a girl. I wasn't lucky to get the perfect legs but I accept the fact that we all have indifference. (pampalubag-loob - in English Consolation/'Salve for the inner self' from Wikipedia) hehehe!.

My sister has her legs waxed all the time. She introduced me to it but I am not brave enough like her to try it. Im afraid that it will look odd after the session until I gave in (She has a convincing power!). Before we go to Boracay, April this year, I decided to go to her trusted waxing salon - Lay Bare Waxing Salon. I remembered my first time having my underarm and half legs at SM Center Las Pinas being waxed. I am so nervous, hahaha! and my sister kept on saying "It's fine, it doesnt hurt". Until I got my turn. I was lying on the bed when ate,  had her ball of wax and started on my legs. Waaaaa! I almost freaked out, hahah! But nah, it didn't hurt. I have not tried any other wax salon so don't ask me to compare it to others. I've heard that there were other ways/wax that were used but Lay-Bare is using a ball of wax. That's all I can say, not really know what it was called. Hehe.

photo from Lay-Bare Facebook Page

Since then, when I get the opportunity, I always go to Lay Bare Waxing Salon to take care of my legs and underarm. People were so accommodating and friendly. I always go to Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa.

I didn't personally want to have the other part of my body being waxed, like the arms, back, full legs etc because I'm fine with it.

So when you see your hair, It's time to Lay-Bare. :)

Do you wax your unwanted hairs too?

Back to work tomorrow.. Argh! Noo..
Oops. I forgot! My job gets me all these. hehe! Love your job peeps! :)

You can follow me by clicking "Join this site" on the right hand side of my blog. Comments and follows are loved and appreciated. :)

Digital Traincase at Multiply

I would like to share with you guys what I've been up to this last couple of days. I was not able to take any outfit shots a lot of times due to my not-so-good-work-schedules. Most of the time, I see other bloggers took their outfit shots outside where the sunlight has it's best which I really envy because all I use on this outfit shots are
1.) My two year old digital camera and it's self timer from Olympus
2.) the bedroom space
3.)Photobucket.com (to at least edit some photos with not very good lighting or at least to have a standard lights and consistency on photos.)
By the way, I didn't go to work on friday afternoon because I was not feeling well so to stop the boredom at home, I had my best friend with me, My netbook! Whew! Thanks, Sun Broadband for the liable connection at home.
Right! I had a lot of story to tell ya?! Hahaha.
Going back on what the entry's title, I have been browsing multiply a lot nowadays because they offer variety of products for a reasonable price plus I was reading my ever trusted blogger TWR of Cheyser Pedregosa who's also buying stuff's there. See? she influences me a lot! Haha.
What I have ordered was a Lip Matte from Nyx at Digital Traincase. Basically, I did what I have to do then to my surprise, it arrived sooner that I expected. I ordered it Saturday morning about 1 am and it arrived Monday about 3pm (what I thought was it might take sometime). Since they were located in Ortigas, it came early.

To my excitement, I opened it. It made me happier because it is what I expected it to be. I tried it out and boom! just kept on pouting my lips hahaha! :)
Well, really I have never seen such thing before maybe because I am not a fan of a lipstick nor lip gloss or basically cosmetics in general. But what I have got now was different.
I applied it on my lips, it has a fruity smell which will make you feel like eating it, doesn't taste anything at all, and it wasn't heavy wearing it. I mean, it's as if I'm not wearing anything at all. I put it on and it stayed for couple of hours. I even ate during my 15 minute break and to my surprise, it was still on.The longer it stays, the beautiful it gets.
waaa.. I am definitely addicted to it.
It's as if I want to buy all the colors available! hahaha. I was bragging how happy I am during work hours and made my friend try it. Well she liked it too.. Better buy one ladies. It's a must have for girls who's always on the go, not fond of having a full make up on or just having an everyday look! :)

Oh By the way, the picture was the necklace from a friend/officemate, Cal. She said she saw it somewhere which reminds her of me so she bought it. She sold it to me for Php180 ($4 approx). Wasn't it nice? I wore it at work, stack it with an old necklace I wore on my previous outfit post (which Cal fixed for FREE because the lock was broken.. Thanks much Cal!)

I put on a heart shape, I don't know why.. Hahah!
It was raining all day! OMG.. How were you guys? Hope you're not experiencing floods and the likes! Stay safe.. :)
