My Version of "No Make Up Make Up"

Yah, I am running out of something to post! Hehe. It must be the weather no?! It's cold nowadays. Ang sarap lang matulog maghapon tapos manood ng DVD. =)

Anyway, as I have mentioned to you multiple times, I am not a fan of make-ups. I can go a day any day without wearing one. Just like now, while I was writing this post, I remember not having eyebrows pa hahaha! Kaya nag pause muna ako.

Ayan, may kilay na ako! :) Go na..

What I would like to share with you today is how I do my everyday look in the office. It's not too much, I tell you. I call this my own version of "no make up make up". Hahaha! Please don't judge me on how I do my make up ha?! You know naman I just recently loved them so I am still not fond of it. Walang okrayan ok?! Ready?

When I leave the house, I am not wearing make ups yet. The time I learned putting creams and pressed powder on was last summer. I don't want to put make-ups on then pagdating sa office, haggard na ulit because of the weather so I prefer to do it in the office. However, there were times that I am so busy I would forget so I end up putting make ups at around 3pm na or 4pm (the latest).

Now here's how I do it.

First, I make sure to wash my face with clean water. Hindi natin alam during the time that we're on our way to work, naalikabukan or nalagyan ng kug ano-ano so just to be safe, I'll wash my face then dry it using a tissue na lang.

Before photo :p

Second, I put Simply pretty BB Cream from Avon. Couple of weeks ago, napansin ko na parang ang dali nyang nauubos. Then I realize na sobrang dami ko ata maglagay na parang hindi na nya nako complement yung skin. I've learned from that so I put only an ample amount to cover my whole face including my neck. There were times when I am too lazy to put BB cream, I'll just stick with number 3 which is pressed powder.

Third, Sealed the look with a pressed powder. To absorb and complement the BB Cream, I put on a pressed powder. I always put an ample amount to just to cover the face and the neck area.

Fourth, I'll shape my brows. I have a thick and uneven brows so I have to maintain it. I usually pluck my brows every 3 days just to remove those hair that are growing at the same time, they would not have a chance to sneak through those that I should keep. Para hindi na rin ako malito sa ayos ng eyebrows ko. Anyway, I am not even sure if my eyebrows is bagay on my face since hindi ko alam tumingin ng pantay sa hindi. Just to make everything annoying lalo, I have a puyo at the end of my left brow so I have to eliminate those hairs that our growing inwardly then just draw my brow. One day, I'll go to Brow Haus talaga promise!! By the way, I am using Maybelline in the shade of gray which I bought couple of years ago na recently ko lang naman nagamit. I want it because it's a little lighter than my hair color when I put it on. Yun lang, the last time I asked a Maybelline stall in SM Southmall before, they said that it's an old version something and they no longer have these na daw. =( I'll check soon if they still carry this.

Fifth, I'll put a blusher. Just so my face won't look pale of dull because of the BB Cream and the powder, blusher is important too. It adds glow to face. =) I had the Blushing pink of Nichido. Unfortunately, tumalon sya when I was looking for something inside my make up bag. Ayon, awa ng Dyos naging loose powder na sya =(

Sixth step is to put a mascara to open up my eyes. My officemate said that my eyes looks sleepy daw so I have to put a mascara on to add a sparkle into it. (Naks) hehehe! I would then use an eyelash curler. Daryl said he would like my eyelashes curled up so I always make sure that they are nice. =)

Lastly a lipstick. I have the Simply pretty in Lucky Orange and Endlessly pink (both from Avon).

Now here's how I look like after..

Hahaha! Walang okrayan ok?! Oo nga pala, I have not curled my eyelashes yet here. Pinapatuyo ko pa kasi ng slight eh. Hehe =)

Para di na kayo mahirapan to see if something has been changed, I placed them together.

Before and After photo
Hehehe. Sooner or later, I plan to try other products in the market to see which one will suite the best for me. For the meantime, I am sticking to Simply Pretty Avon Collection until I ran out of them. =)

Kayo? How do you make yourself pretty and presentable?! Share naman!! =)

Terranova Sale Loot

After our tiring afternoon at Fun Ranch, on our way home, I asked Daryl if we could go to SM Southmall. Madadaanan kasi namin before going home so I want to see kung anong meron. Kaliwa't kanan kasi ang mga signage that they are on sale.

Me: Babe, pwede ba tayong dumaan ng SM?

Daryl: Anong gagawin mo dun?

Me: Wala. May titingnan lang ako.

Wala naman syang nagawa so we went there. I know where to go that time, Terranova. They have been on sale since forever and I want to see what they can offer. It wasn't my first time to shop there and seriously, when they say they are on sale, bagsak presyo talaga.

When I got there.. I checked every corner until I saw their pants. I have been wanting to buy a new pair of jeans since lst month dahil hindi nga ako makapag dressdown. I have the feeling that I need it because (1) I am wearing the same jeans once every week and (2) my current jeans are either maluwag na or sobrang luma na.

Nagpalpitate talaga ako when I saw that their jeans are on sale for only P595. Not bad! Deadma tuloy sakin ang SM clearance sale pero I want to go back there to see what they have. I just hope sale pa sila when another payday comes. Hehehe!

I am really confused about my size. Before I got pregnant, kabisado ko yan. I know size 28 not stretcheable jeans fits me perfectly and tops can fit me in small to medium size (depending on the clothes fabric). Hindi naman kasi ako sobrang payat before dahil tabain talaga ako. I checked some of their clothes and most of them are priced from P695 to P195 only.

Naglaway ako mga ateng!! Pero nag hunos dili ako kasi I know I am on a very very very strict budget. I was just suppose to buy a pair of jeans lang talaga. But then, I am just a woman who's shopping is weakness so let's check my loot for that weekend. =)

Slim fit jeans from P1,295 to P595

Loose top from P695 to P195

Maong skirt P895 (previous sale price) to P495
I was not suppose to get the skirt na because I wanted to buy more tops sana that I can mix and match with jeans and skirts that I have at home pero ang tagal ko ng naghahanap ng nice maong skirt so I bought this too. =) It was stretchable by the way so I was having a second thought na dapat yung smaller size ang kinuha ko para mas fit. Hehehe!  The top doesn't look appealing pero maganda yan when worn. I loved it because it's loose pero fitting on the arms. The jeans naman fits perfectly (size M) I don't have to wear a belt kasi it hugs my butt and thighs the way I want it to be. =)

While I was on the fitting room, I was rushing because Daryl might look for me eh hindi ako nakapagsabi na nasa fitting room ako because he went out of the store. Ewan ko ba why men are so bored when women were doing their shopping no?! kakainis lang. Hehehe.

By the way, Terranova sale clothes that are for basic and everyday needs perfect for office wears na hindi sobrang formal. Mga laid back style which I really like =)

At dahil excited ako, I wore them agad sa office! hahaha.

Here's my Outfit of the Day last Monday.

Selfie sa mirror
Sorry about the quality of the photos ha?! Most of them were taken inside our room sa hindi natural light. Mejo shy pa din kasi akong mag OOTD shots eh. Saka na pag madami na akong damit ulit hehehe! =) I will try my best to have a better quality of my photos moving forward.

I posted this photo on IG (@its_mommy_jen)

Did you have the same feeling? Hehehe.

So that's my loot for the last weekend. I hope to be able to buy new stuff to replace those clothes na sobrang luma na. I hope they can stay on sale forever. =)

How about you guys? Do you have a recent buy?

Result: New Hair Do

When I made kwento about my Index Salon Rebonding Experience, I forgot to include the before and after photo! Hahahaha.. Sorry guys, na carried away ako sa pag ku kwento ko about Ate kuya.

Anyway, Ito na sya...

Teka, wala nga pala akong before photo kasi it was so chaka talaga. If you can imagine my hair na lang na waist long, super black and makapal, wavy and buhaghag..

Ano naisip nyo?

Basta kung ano man yung naisip nyo, yun na yun! Hahaha..

Pero here's the after shot..

First 24 hours after the treatment

3 days after the treatment. Hair was shampooed and with hair conditioner

Yan..

Hahaha! Walang okrayan please?!

It was shoulder length na lang. Madaming nagulat na pinagupitan ko ng sobrang iksi dahil nga hanggang bewang na talaga sya. I think it's just what I usually do, ipapa make over ko ang hair ko tapos paiiksian ng todo. I want to add a side bangs pa nga jan. Siguro next month na lang pag mejo humaba na ng konti. =)

Also, on my first 2 hair treatment, I never went back to the salon for a follow up treatment like hair spa or hot oil to maintain the original treatment. I find it really expensive kasi. What I was planning to do now is to buy sa Watson's nung mga pang hair spa nila and I can just DIY it. My sister had one before and I used it myself, I was surprised na maganda ang bagsak ng hair ko. Mas mura din yun, last time I checked, they're on sale, Buy 1 take 1 for P200++ which is not bad na kasi for how many times mo din magagamit yun diba? =)

I want to see how it will turn out pero so far, enjoy ako sa buhok ko dahil madulas at maganda naman.. I just hope na mejo maganda ang pagkalayer ng dulo pero sobrang iksi na kasi nya so maybe next month ko na lang ipapaayos yung hair cut. I'll just wait for it to grow a little. =)

Did you like it?

New Make Up Tools + Being Nostalgic

I am not a makeup person. Period!

Back in high school, we had a cosmetology subject where manicure, pedicure, nail arts, hair cuts, and make up were being taught. Since I am against using anything to my face, I didn't learn the proper way of applying make-ups, didn't learn nail arts, besides no one wants to model for my haircut service, baka kasi ma murder ko ang hair nila. All along, naiisip ko na pang kikay at pang malalandi lang ang make-ups.

Oh wag nyo akong sabunutan, yan talaga ang naiisip ko noon eh. Whenever I see people with make-ups on, lalo na yung obvious tapos wala naman party or events, maarte na agad ang tingin ko.

Yuh.. judgemental na ako!

When I went to college, I learned how to fix my hair, put blusher.. that's it. But it's very very minimal. Yung masabi lang ba na hindi naman ako chaka.

Anyway, when I had my first job, I am against make ups pa din. I still think that it's not necessary. Simplicity is the best talaga, yan ang lagi kong motto. Hahah! I may not love make-ups but I am a frustrated fashionista. I am too conscious of my clothes, I should not underdress or overdress.

One of the weddings that I attended in 2012

One month pregnant here. =) I didn't know pa.

Time passed by, I had a baby, still doesn't like make - ups and anything about skin care. I hated all of it until one day,

We were going to a wedding since FMIL will be a Ninang daw. We would all go since Daryl will drive for her. I borrowed a dress from my sister so that saved me from my #ootd dilemma. My hair is too long and frizzy but I know how to braid it so it also saved me from looking like chaka however, I don't have a powder, or a blusher. I only have a lipstick with me that I used as a blusher.

Kawawa to the highest levelz!!

Gosshh.. I came to think, what happen to the kikay, maarte and fashionista me?! Where did she go?

That didn't stop there.. Lagi akong namomroblema sa mga isusuot ko on events like wedding, debuts or any formal event or gathering. I always bother my sister of something that I can borrow. I mean, I always do that back in the days but now, due to my post-partum body, I can't fit on most of her clothes. I can only borrow some. =( I guess I have to invest on clothes now.. As in now na! Sana bukas umulan ng madaming pang - shopping. Hahaha! =)

One night, before we went to sleep..

Me: Babe, magkakaron ako ng extra money by July, iniisip ko kung ibibili ko ba sya ng kama or ipangpapa-rebond ko na lang ng hair ko.

Daryl: Ipangpa rebond mo na lang. Hayaan mo na yang kama, ok pa naman tayo dito eh. Alagaan mo naman ang sarili mo.

Awwww... I am so touched lang.

Pero naisip ko, baka ang chaka ko na talaga kaya sinabi nyang alagaan ko naman ang sarili ko. Gaaaahhd!!

All along, pinagdadamutan ko ang sarili ko dahil mas importante ang mga gamit sa bahay, grocery, utilities and savings. I forgot to take care of myself. I am still fat, I never got back to my pre-pregnancy body. My hair is sooo long, dry, frizzy, ugly so it's always on a bun. I don't have any make up tools to save me in an emergency party or event. I no longer have a little black dress in my closet. I don't have enough jeans for office wear, my dresses are all old, my tops were very limited. =(

Parang gusto kong maiyak! Hayyy..

Don't get me wrong guys. Hindi kami mayaman so hindi branded ang mga damit ko dati but at least, I can buy one or two clothes every payday. I can buy heels during sale, I use my 13th month pay to have a hair treatment yearly, I am self proclaimed "fashionista" in my very own way. I have never been sexy with flat tummy levelz pero I am not fat, tama lang kung baga. I have time to Mani - Pedi myself etc.

Now, I can't do all that. We have enough things on our plate for me to think about those. I miss it so much.

One of the wedding I attended last month

Yah.. Motherhood changed it all. Hindi naman ako nagsisisi. I love my life now, I am happier, patient, loving, and selfless. I love Jami and Daryl everyday.. Motto nga namin eh, We.always.go.together.

Pero hindi about jan talaga ang iba blog ko eh, sorry na carried away lang.. Hahaha!

What I want to show you is, because of those scenario.. I am trying to be better. I want to be as beautiful as I am before. I want to be able to wear nice fitting clothes without thinking about my bulging tummy. I used to be a suki of selfie but because I feel so ugly, I don't want to take picture of myself anymore.

Gone are the days.. in the past weeks,

I learned how to shape my eyebrows.
I learned to maintain it and use brow pencil to modify it more.
I learned to use BB Cream and Face Powder.
I learned that Daryl likes my eyelashes curled up so I bought a mascara to make it fuller.
I relearned that my face will look slimmer if I flaunt my hair.
I relearned to gain the confidence I lost when I gave birth.

Although, I can't get back on shape overnight, I want to start doing something about it. People in the office says I'm getting payat daw pero ang hindi nila alam, that's because of my new hair haha!

So for the record, I am filling up my make up kits slowly. I have everything that I need on a daily basis and that's enough to save me on any urgent parties or events/gatherings so I won't look like sobrang haggard naman.

I originally posted this photo on my post about what's in my bag last week.

I started with avon cosmetics since they are not that expensive and I don't want to risk naman trying out something I got in the market tapos end up na di ko bet so mostly yan, suggestion ng mga officemate ko which I think compliments my skin color naman.

I still have some missing that I got recently after that post was made. Here they are:

Avon Brush set for only P99 (on sale)

Nichido Blushing Pink Shade for P88
I loved the brush set, sobrang lambot. Before I got the blusher on my birthday, I borrowed one from my officemate (blusher and brush) and her's is breaking like powder because her brush is kind of matigas. When I bought the same blusher, I noticed that mine doesn't break so I told her na baka masyadong matigas yung brush nya. I liked the blusher. That's actually my officemate's shade din. It's pink so hindi mukang sinampal ang fez ko. =)

For the mean time, kuntento na ako sa make up kit ko. What I am planning to do is to invest on moisturizer naman since they can make your skin younger.. tama ba?

Kayo? Any recommendations on what's the best moisturizer?

Starting to get Boho

x maxi skirt (dress made as a skirt) from bazaar
x lace top and high low blazer no brand
x flat beaded sandals from Boardwalk
x sequined bag gift

This is what I wore yesterday to work. My sister gave me an idea to wear a long skirt since it was raining. (She was throwing a joke so when I wear one, I'll have a hard time walking.. Haha!) I thought about it and said to myself.. Why not?! So I looked on my closet and found this dress. It has a garter on the bust area that got broke  (The garter on it will make the dress fit from bust are to waist) so I can't wear it as a dress anymore because I will look pregnant! Haha. Instead I made it as a skirt and used the lace top and blazer. The top was given by mom she bought at random stores and I bought the blazer at a supermarket (puregold! Can you imagine they have one?). I challenged myself with this outfit because you never get to see me wearing a long skirt before. I never wore something boho. But since my fahion inspiration was TWR of Cheyser Pedregosa, I still tried it. I used the bag that was given to me by my brother's girlfriend since it will add more characteristics on my outfit and yes indeed, I feel so Boho! Did I? Did I give justice to the skirt? Hope you like it. :)

Why Oh Why?

Well, this blog post is specifically about the giveaway from TWR of Cheyser Pedregosa, a blogger, a fashionista, and an inspiration. She has a week long giveaway for her birthday so go ahead and greet her, your still not late. Hehe!

Anyway, the reason I joined this giveaway is to mainly of course win the prize which is a Blackberry 9220. Here's a glimpse on how different it is compare to other curves in the market.

Aside from the fact that my phone is almost giving up on me, I also want this to be mine to simply remind me of how inspired I am with Cheyser and how she dress herself. I've always been looking forward for a new post specially an outfit post as it teaches me how to be versatile on every fashion trends. I've been reading other blogs and I can't say anything but great but TWR is absolutely different most specially the person behind it. I've never known her or even met her in person but she definitely caught my attention because of her Boho style which is, everyone knows - eye-catching.

So, just to make this long story short, I badly want to win this Blackberry 9220 from TWR. Prayers for me please?! :)

Happy Birthday Lovely Cheyser.. :)

till my next blog posts dearests!

AV Wishlist

No wonder that I am updating you of something that I am doing now, It is because Im on leave for me and my boyfriend's 6th year anniversary on July 24th. Thanks to Globe Telecom for binding us together! haha. Yes, we met through text. We've been schoolmates, we even have our rooms near each other and have some common friends but our path never crossed until we graduated from high school. We had a common friend who introduced us to each other. She was my childhood friend. So then that's when the story began. :)

Anyway, I've been looking on some articles in google and reading some blogs about fashion and beauty. I am so curious as to where they bought those clothes that I don't even see in malls. Since I have plenty of time doing nothing today, I was so patient reading couple of other blogs and one of the things I've noticed were SHOES! As I've read (one of my fashion inspiration) Kryz Uy's blog, she said that shoes are very important for her as it makes or breaks a style. I found a website that most of fashion bloggers buy their shoes which was Asian Vogue

Here are some of the shoes I liked the most.

*photos from Asian Vogue's multiply site.

Lovely and colorful platforms.
Aztec Print wedges
I soo like the print. :)
Love the combination of red and black! :)
This was so girly. Love love :)
Im just inlove with red shoes. it makes your feet whiter! :)
The basic! :)
This one will bring the best out of your rock chic image! :)
As you noticed, I'm really into red and black shoes, a colorful one depends on it's styles. So, these are my wishlist from Asian Vogue.

Which one do you prefer?

Till my next update Loves! :)
