I Learned How to use Bicycle

Would you believe it?

From the title itself, I learned how to bike at the age of 26.

Nakakaawa no?! Hahaha.

Yeah, although people thought I was kidding when I posted this photo on my IG and Facebook account.

But seriously, ngayon lang ako natutuong mag bike and I loved it soooo much! I want to buy a bike na. Hahahah!

I was born poor so mainly, my parents can't buy a bicycle for us. We were 5 siblings so imagine the riot if they only buy one bike for all of us. Lol! When I was in high school, a friend owns one but I was too scared to use it. I had a lot of scars on my legs and I don't want to add more into it. I heard you'll get one before you learned how to use bicycle.

Fast forward to earlier this month, I joined my sister and my niece's jogging session. They go to Commerce Center in Alabang where the place offers a good ambiance for joggers and bikers. There are hardly any cars in that area so you could really have some fitness/fun/family time.

This was near Parque Espana in Alabang. There's also a bicycle for rent so I was surprised my sister want to rent for us to use. I was really scared at first and I have to try and try until I finally found the pace and the balance. It was the balancing that I was scared of but hey, I managed to face my fears didn't I?

I was so glad that finally, I felt free. Lol! I always thought ang sarap siguro mag bike and it was true! I am now aiming to buy just a normal entry level bicycle that I could use when I feel like it.

While in the process of learning how to bike, I kept telling myself that I can do things when I want to. That it's never too late to do things that you like and you are never too old for anything. In a matter of 1 hour, I learned the basics and can now use the bicycle. I know it was very mababaw and simple things but I proved to myself that I can do things when I put my mind into it. Biking scares me before, but I am bigger than my fears! And yeah, I did it. The next day, my whole body aches and I have bruises on my legs, as in a lot of them. Yung tipong para akong binugbog because tumatama yung binti ko in the pedal. Hahahah!

I would now like to have a bike for me, Daryl and a new one for Jami as he has outgrown his baby bike. I want to get one for him that has a wheel trainer at the back and a basic entry level for me. Daryl knows how to bike so definitely he could have his intermediate or advanced bike, if there's such. Lol! We could go here again for some biking/fitness/family time, can't we? I kept telling myself that I won't let Jami and my future kids not to learn how to use bicycle when they're younger. Hahaha!

I have been bugging my team leader about bicycles since he owns once and uses it to go to work. He's been giving me a tip or two about bikes and I am really excited to get one when our  budget allows. =)

RITM Animal Bite Center Experience and the Cost

Last month, we went to RITM (Research Institute for Tropical Medicine) because Daryl got scratched by a cat that goes to our house for food.

So here's the background of the cat. It was called Dudut by Jami and has been in the house on and off for about half a year. It was a very malambing na cat kaso recently, she gave birth and we don't want the kittens to be inside the house kasi mabaho and kapag nag poop and pee sila, grabe ang amoy so we left them inside the compound but outside our house. Yun nga lang, Dudut carried them everywhere so hindi ko na alam kung saan napunta ang kittens. I saw one lately and mejo malaki na. Kaso mag isa na lang sya. I am not sure kung nasaan na ang iba. Hinahayaan lang namin yung cat to roam around the house most of the time because they help to minimize the existence of rats.

Anyway, ayun na nga, one morning, Daryl was lying on a cleopatra style wooden chair beside our window kung saan dumadaan si Dudut. Unfortunately, nadulas si Dudut or it didn't notice Daryl lying on its landing place so it fell straight on Daryl's face. Sa gulat nya, he took Dudut away from his face pero Dudut was holding for her dear life so yeah, nakalmot nya si Daryl. It was a really long scratch from his cheekbone to down to about an inch before his panga.

He was really worried because he posted the photo on his facebook account and tinakot na sya ng mga tao. Haha! So he was asking me to bring him to the hospital. He waited for me to go home since no one will be looking after with Jami. Just when I was on the way, Daryl and Ma Belen started looking out for clinics na pwedeng magpabakuna. After a while, they can't find any so we all agreed to meet in SM Southmall.

Good thing, I read a blog (forgot the link) where an anonymous comment says that the cheapest vaccine for animal bites can be found in RITM in Muntinlupa. I texted an officemate who lives in the same city to ask directions on how to get to RITM from South Station in Alabang.

Just before we headed to RITM, we decided to check in Alabang Medical Center in Madrigal, Alabang to see if we could instead get a vaccine from there. When we went inside ER, we were told that they have vaccines but they couldn't accept Daryl's case because the scratch was on his face. Any bites or scratch from neck and up will be directed straight to RITM immediately.

We got no choice left so we went to RITM. It was past 7pm when we arrived but people there were very accommodating including the security guard who was stationed beside the entrance of their ER. I was told that it wasn't really a hospital but a research center. After a while, a doctor interrogated Daryl on what happened including why he came in late. He should have went earlier since the scratch was around 8 in the morning. He was ask to go to pharmacy and pay the medicine. They also did a skin test for allergies.

The cost of the vaccine was a total of Php1,200 which contains 8 shots. 3 on his arms, 2 on his face beside the scratch, one on hips and 2 more on both of his legs. We have to wait for an hour to make sure that Daryl didn't feel nauseated or dizzy or any after effects of medicine. We were done at around 9:30pm.

Daryl was given a paper that contains information of his vaccine and a card for his next visit. He should come back after 3 days which fell on a holiday (May 1) so it was adjusted on the 4th day. He also has to come back for 7th and 28th day. He was told he'll have two shots on his second visit and would only need to pay Php100.

How to commute from Festival Mall to RITM

The easiest way is to get to Muntinlupa Fire Station and look for multicabs that are waiting just along the corner (near Festival Mall and Crimson hotel). Tell the driver to drop you off at RITM and pay Php15 per head. If you are traveling alone, you might need to pay for a special trip or you may wish to wait for other passengers.

You will notice at this time that RITM is on a secluded place and there are no public transportation near the place. Don't worry, the multicabs goes there from time to time to see if there are passengers waiting to be brought back to Alabang/Festival Mall.

Total Cost

We paid a total of Php1,200 for the initial vaccines. That includes an anti-tetanus vaccine as well since Daryl hadn't had one. It might be a little cheaper if you got one before hand. Anyway, this is the cheapest price that you could get for an animal bite vaccine. Most private hospitals charge from Php3,000 to Php15,000. Bare in mind that you also has to go back for other sessions so it can get really expensive.You could also opt to get your succeeding  vaccines on a local health center near your place for convenience. You just have to make sure that it's the same brand/medicine content with your initial vaccine.

In total, I am really glad with our experience with RITM. They didn't give us a hard time and didn't encounter a masungit na Nurse or Doctor. They are all accommodating and would answer your questions promptly. For the price we paid and the kind of service they gave, we were really happy.

Yummy Diet PH Reviews

Part of my weight loss journey was the calorie counted meal. Offers are everywhere and there are a lot of providers to choose from. Prices also varies and of course, the taste.

I saw a lot of store that offers calorie counted meal that carries 1,200kcal/1,500kcal/1,800kcal and those who have special needs like vegetarians etc.

I chose Yummy Diet PH above all as they offer delivery schedule depending on my needs. Before booking your meals, you have to consider the delivery too because there are some that only delivers in the morning from 5am-8am for Makati and 3pm-9pm for other locations.

Anyway, I only took the minimum 3 days meal because (1) I am not sure if I'll like the food (you know how much picky eater I am); (2) Strict budget. The 1,200kcal meal costs Php1,900 for 5 days with 3 sets of meals and 2 snacks). Besides, it will be a lot easier to come up with a meal plan for only 2 days in a week rather than 5 days. Hahaha! Weekends doesn't count. I still eat regular food but in minimum amount only. Half cup of white rice and viand etc.

Since no one will be home when delivery arrives, I have it delivered in the office every late afternoon which is just according to my schedule. I chose the Cash on Delivery payment but I have meetings scheduled on the first meal delivery so the food was left in our security desk without payment pa. I have then decided to fund transfer the payment to make our lives easier. Why I didn't do it upon order? I don't have enough fund on my debit card.

 First Week of Order:

source

My Day 1: Tuesday Meal

I've never tried eating tofu as a viand ever since (except taho in the morning) so there's a lot of convincing on my part to eat the dinner. Hahah! Grabe, I can't believe I ate salad. Alam nyo naman, I am not fond of veggies so I took in a lot of courage to eat them all. Hehe. But it was a success, I managed to finish the food and liked it. The breakfast and lunch tastes good. I ate them all without much hesitation since they're yummy. I was thinking how they managed to make it taste this good without adding preservatives. I guess it's just real food no?!

Day 3 and Day 4, I have no photos to show you. I was really busy so when I get to work, I will eat lunch immediately so wala na akong picture. =(

Anyhow, I ordered another minimum meal for 3 days. This time, my sister want to try Yummy Diet too. I placed my order thru Facebook Page and placed an order thru text message for my sister. I sent them a message on their FB page that there will be 2 deliveries for me on two different addresses.

3-day meal

Monday came, I was expecting for a delivery to arrive for my Tuesday meal. Nothing came so I have to send them text messages by 10pm to ask if they are still going to deliver the meal. They were really quick in answering so I knew they delivered the food and someone received it. They sent me the address and found out that they were referring to my sister's delivery.

I explained to them that there were supposed to be two delivery. I paid for my order thru BPI fund transfer and my sister paid hers thru the same method. I sent them my screenshot of payment and immediately processed the order. Instead of Tues-Thurs meal, they offered me Wed meal and 2 Thursday meal. I suggested why don't we make it Wed-Fri meal which they agreed naman. They are very easy to talk to.

Included on my delivery on that week was a spoon and fork and some teas and coffee. My previous delivery doesn't have one so probably because of me referring my sister or for the confusion of delivery. Either way, I was happy with the food. =) This was the last set of food that I ordered because I don't want to spend too much in food delivery.

Fast forward to second week of April, I received a text message from Yummy Diet asking for a payment for my last delivery. I got really confused and felt bad that they think I didn't pay the food. Nasan naman ang kunsensya ko, kinain ko na ang food ng walang bayad. Hahah!

I told them that payment has been made the moment I placed the order. I sent a screenshot of my payment (buti hindi ko pa na delete) and advised that they could back read our conversations because the same picture was sent weeks ago. They replied na okay na. Maybe they got really really confused when I ordered for me and my sister. Although I tried my best naman to make sure the order is clear in my end.

Anyhow, I can still say that Yummy Diet lives up with their tag. The food tastes yummy and I could say that this helped me loose weight along the way. Bare in mind that I didn't exercise, just plain diet but still, I lost extra pounds and still a work in progress. In the course of my 3-days meal, I make sure that I eat food less than 1,200kcal on days that I don't have food delivery to maintain the diet. I can't say that the plan will work for everybody but it sure helped me.

Calorie Counted meal delivery are perfect for those who doesn't have time and knowledge to prepare healthy low calorie meals. If you have the budget, you may want to consider Yummy Diet PH.

Derma Visit

Last weekend we were able to visit a Dermatologist for the first time. I was really worried that me and Jami had a "Ringworm".

Check nyo si google what the ringworm is.

Kita nyo na?

Yeah, exactly like that. The appearance is similar to mine and Jami so I got worried! Mine looked really serious and itchy. I have to postpone the visit until last weekend because I have to work on weekdays. I also noticed that it got 100% bigger on Jami's arm so we really have to go.

On the day of our visit, mine looked healed. Natanggal na yung skin but still gets very itchy. So I have decided to get Jami checked instead of us both.

We went to SM Southmall in the afternoon and decided to have our late lunch there.

While waiting for our food

We ate at Mang Inasal na lang para unlimited Rice :D
Wag kayo mag alala, si Daryl lang ang nag unli rice. Pramis! Hahaha.

We headed straight to Casa Medica Inc and waited for the doctor to arrive. We realized that she was running late and we were at number 11 so we decided to roam around at Cyberzone. I was trying to check how much yung mejo cheap na tablet for Jami but found out na even Huawei costs Php5,000. Grabe ang mahal na ng bilihin nowadays. Lol! We checked some phones too like Oppo F1s and it looked really nice, I mean the Camera.

After around 30 minutes, we went back to the clinic and was delighted that the Dermatologist have arrived. We had some bonding moments while waiting for our turn. If you wish to check it, follow me @its_mommy_jen on instagram.

When we were called, I showed Jami's alleged "ringworm" and was told that it wasn't a ringworm. It was a bacterial infection so she prescribed a soap and a cream that we should use for 5 to 7 days. I was also told that if it got worse after 3-4 days, we should bring Jami back to her.

I was so surprised with the amount of the cream and soap! Grabe lang. Hahaha! Although I somehow expected it that it will be expensive, na shock pa din ako. Lol! It costs Php595 for both but then, if it's for our wellness naman diba, then it's nothing. I was asked to put the same cream to cure the wound.

I am so glad to report that's it's getting better (dapat lang!). I am hoping mine won't leave a scar kasi obvious eh. :)

Our First Family Run at Nickelodeon Slime Cup Run

Early this month, we were so lucky to be invited by Que of Takbo.ph to the Nickelodeon's Slime Cup Run that was held on Mall of Asia grounds. I was really excited since it will be our very first family run. I have never joined one so I was excited myself, I know it will be a new milestone for my family and for myself too.

I had Daryl to go on a 3k run since he's into sports. He could play basketball for a really long time and since that sports requires a lot of running and agility, I know sisiw lang sa kanya ang 3k run. Jami and I had the 200m run. I am really not sure how far the 200m was pero I was told really short lang daw so I agreed. I don't want to end up having a long run with Jami kasi for sure, magpapakarga lang to along the way. Eh hindi pa naman ako sporty, so no chance na matatapos namin ang long run. Hahaha!

I failed to check the 3k run's assembly time. All I know was, 6am dapat we'll be there na. When we got there, there were people getting ready to run. I realized they're the 3k runners! I actually have no idea where to go dahil sa sobrang excited ko, I never asked Que. Hahaha! I went to their registration booth and was so disappointed that one of the lady there was really not helpful. I asked if they knew my contact person and her answer was. "Ay hindi namin kilala!". Just that-so no intentions of helping me whatsoever. I sent a chat to Que and was told where to go. Buti na lang, we were able to get our kit seconds before the start. Although Daryl ran at least 2 minutes after the gun, he was (I think) at the 10th-15th to finish. We were waiting for him kasi on the finish line so Jami could see him running. Grabe, iba yung feeling ng achievement. I was so happy for Daddy! Yun lang, mejo nabitin daw sya after the run. I told him we'll join the 5k next time. Of course one step at a time lang. =)

3K Finisher

The 200m run was the very last which was even divided into 3 parts - all girls, all boys and the parents and kids. It was a good thing though because it became really organized. I enjoyed it so much although Jami wasn't on his playful mode during the run. Sobrang aga pa kasi for him but at least we get to try. Personally, mejo bitin din ang 200m for me, Nevertheless, I enjoyed it so much because Jami was there too. We skipped the part of being slimed because we don't have towel with us.

Waiting for the start
The sponsors prepared games and prizes for everyone. I wanted to see what the games were about but we decided to go home immediately. Sobrang init kasi, walang ka hangin hangin. Jami perspires a lot konting init lang, tulo na agad pawis so we went home to Pasay to freshen up and catch some sleep before going back home to Las Pinas.

Thanks so much Que of Takbo.ph for inviting us and to Nickelodeon for a wonderful Family Run. It sure was worth the waking-up-early part. =)

Weight Issues 2015

You know guys.. I am just really worried nowadays.

I came to realize na sobrang laki na nag tinaba ko after ko manganak!

Gossshhh... I am really worried.

Alam mo yung feeling na you know what to do pero parang may napigil sayo in doing something?

hayy.. Okay! Last friday, I tried watching the same exercise video that I watched back in the days. Yun yung time na dalaga pa ako. Whenever I feel bloated, I'll go watch and dance with it.

Anyway, yun nga. I watched it nung Friday. I danced for only 10 minutes lang which is basically the first part of the video. More of stretching lang. I don't want to go all out naman agad - agad dahil baka himatayin ako diba?! hahaha. I mean baka lang di kayanin ng katawan ko dahil hindi naman ako nag wo work out for the longest time.

I remember during the days that I posted about my weight issues here last year. That was when I still had the reason that I have just given birth and have undergone CS so I can't force myself to go payat pa.

But now, Ow-Em-Gee talaga!!

I came to realize it this Saturday that passed. I went to Metro Gaisano in Alabang so Nanay could finish her passport application that has been at work since May. While waiting, (I can't go up to DFA because I don't have appointments and Nanay isn't senior citizen yet), I roamed around on the same floor and found cute stuff. I also came across a huge mirror and thought of having my OOTD shot taken there.

Ayun.. na surprise ako!

Gaaahhhdd!! I want to cry talaga. I am so mataba. Ang laki ng braso at ng tummy. Well, my tummy was hidden because I am wearing something flowy and maluwag sa may bandang tummy but what surprises me ng bongga was my braso! Huhuhu! Nakakainis lang. I was so shocked and came to thinking na napabayaan ko na ang sarili ng bonggacious talaga mga ateng!

You know I have never been the skinny one. My puson has always been bigger than my tummy and tummy was noticeable too pero hindi naman sobrang laki na parang buntis. Yung tipong may baby fats lang talaga. Chubby kasi talaga ako and never in my entire life na nagkaron ng flat tummy na pang two piece sa beach. I accepted that. I mean, hindi ko din naman bet ang mag panty sa beach so keri na ang pekpek shorts.

Just to give you a hint.. Here's what my body type is..

This is the most recent photo that I took na somehow shows my body, hindi lang puro fez. The top I am wearing is loose kaya hindi halatang malaki ang tyan ko jan. Although I love the jeans kasi fit na fit sa mga hita ko, I felt sexy jan because I was wearing a nice fitting jeans and a top na naitatago ang braso at tummy ko. Pero when I was a dalaga pa, I don't wear this kind of top kasi nga malaki. Lalo akong tataba tingnan dahil sa boob area ko so I opt to wear yung mga fitting talaga na damit. Yung as in hapit sa katawan para kita ang curves.. (Naks! Maka curves talaga! Hahah!)

Nowadays, puro fez ko na lang ang pinapakita ko kasi nakakahiya naman makita pa pati mga bilbilations ko diba? Gaaahd pag naaalala ko, naiiyak talaga ako! I felt so mataba! Huhu!

Teka, wala naman akong problema sa matataba ha? baka sabihin nio naman echusera ako. Pero kasi what made my feeling worst is that, hindi ko na alam ang size ko when I go shopping. I want to fit all sizes para alam ko kung ano bang kukunin kong size next time. I used to go shopping without fitting the damit 70% of the time. I know my size and by just looking at the clothes, alam ko na kung kasya sakin o hindi.

This Sunday that passed, Daryl and I along with Jami went to SM Mall of Asia so I can buy some stuff for my DIY letter standee. I have a hidden agenda to go to Terranova to check what they have there. I did some sshopping in their SM Southmall 2 weeks ago so I want to know kung mas madami silang stock there since mas malaki ang store in SM Mall of Asia. When I got there, I grabbed all the clothes that I want in sizes XS, S, and M. Terrranova carries big sizes kasi so I was wondering kung anong size ko. Of course depende din sa kung anong tela diba? I took around 8 different clothes (dresses, jeans, tops) and fit them all.

I.CAN'T.DECIDE!!

I feel na kasya sakin ang XS pero mukha akong buntis. The Small fits well pero bakat pa din ang tyan ko. Medium hides my belly pero I look mas mataba. =(

I want to wear fitting clothes again!! =( Like this..

Yung kahit ganyan na lang masya na ako eh.. huhuhu! =(

Yung makapag high waisted shorts ng hindi panget because of my bilbil =(

Yung hindi naman nakakahiyang ipagyabang ang braso at tummy diba?!

Parang pangarap na lang tong photo na 'to! huhu!

Anyway, hindi pa naman ako nawawalan ng pag-asa eh. Alam ko kaya to! Mind set lang mga ateng!! Balik Alindoghalfyear2015. Push ko yan this week! So help me God! =)

Any tips and tricks??

Medicine Expirations

One time, I was checking all the clutter that we have at home and found my small transparent bag where I put all my spare medicines before. I noticed I had a lot of pain killers and paracetamols and take note, most of them are from when I had my c-section in 2013.

I checked the expiration dates of the spare medicines and some of them has their expiration dates printed on the foil which I appreciate the most kasi it makes me keep those that are still okay and those that needs to be thrown out.Kaya lang, there were some na walang nakalagay specially those that are were left out. Yung tipong nabili mo ng tingi? If it's isang banig, it's fine kasi you could see it pero if not then waley.. =( I have no choice but to throw them away. Better be safe than sorry.

This one went to trash!
Anyway, I also had Jami's medicines which has been used before but has been kept in our room which wasn't really exposed to heat so I was thinking if it's still okay to use. He had a tempra syrup that I tossed and bought a new one even there's still quite a few amount left. I was thinking kasi na baka hindi na pwede yung dati.

I was told naman that as long as it is kept refrigerated then it's fine but as of the moment we didn't have a fridge so I opted to keep it in our bedroom.

How do you guys keep your medicines? Please let me know..

Inside First Aid and Emergency Survival Kit

There has been news about West Valley point and an Earthquake which can be of 7.2 magnitude.

Gossshhh! Sobrang scary!

I have read here about it and I was a little worried that I don't have any knowledge of this for the past months. (resulta ng walang cable sa bahay!). I remember watching TV during Yolanda typhoon where I saw a child got sick during their stay in evacuation center. Since there has been seldom to no help that was extended during the first 24 hours after the super typhoon, the child died. The parents/family doesn't have a medicine or even first aid kit to save their child's life. Nakakalungkot talaga. =(

Before I read about the Earthquake, I wanted to have a first aid kit sa bahay because most of the time, nadadapa si Jami sa labas ng bahay. He goes home with either bruise or wounds. Grabe! When you see his knee, may mga peklat na kasi laging nadadapa. Hayy..

There was a time na nadapa sya going home, when we checked his knee, dumudugo.

I searched everywhere to find something that would stop the bleeding and basically put a first aid medicines on it. That's when I found out na wala akong kahit ano sa bahay!!

As in WALEY!!

Pambihirang yan!

Anyway, I found out about Jenni Epperson's post about Earthquake Survival Kit. I want to re-post it here in my blog because (1) I personally want to have one at home and (2) It's better to be prepared than not.

That's my next goal - complete the first aid and emergency survival kit given that there's an anticipated earthquake that might happen anytime. What's scarier is that there's no way we could foresee if an earthquake is coming unlike typhoons, so we better get ready anytime.

Here's what you need:

ESSENTIALS

* Water – one gallon per person, per day
* First aid kit
* Extra medication
* Extra pair of glasses or contacts
* Battery operated radio plus extra batteries
* Flashlight plus extra batteries
* Blankets

FOOD

* Canned or other non-perishable foods (they may not be on your usual menu, but they’ll keep bodies fueled)
* Pet food (if applicable)
* Can opener/Swiss army knife
* Camping stove or grill (optional)

Stock instant coffee or tea drinks (1 year), canned puddings (1 year), whipped topping mixes, hard candies in cans and such snacks as dried fruit, nuts, pretzels, chips and ready-to-eat popcorn (check pull dates). They deliver some nutrition and will help morale.

HYGIENE

* Toilet paper
* Zipper seal bags for waste disposal
* Soap
* Shampoo
* Alcohol
* Toothbrush and toothpaste
* Feminine hygiene supplies
* Baby wipes
* Underwear

FIRST AID KIT

The Red Cross recommends that all first aid kits for a family of four include the following:

* 2 absorbent compress dressings (5 x 9 inches)
* 25 adhesive bandages (assorted sizes)
* 1 adhesive cloth tape (10 yards x 1 inch)
* 5 antibiotic ointment packets (approximately 1 gram)
* 5 antiseptic wipe packets
* 2 packets of aspirin (81 mg each)
* 1 blanket (space blanket)
* 1 breathing barrier (with one-way valve)
* 1 instant cold compress
* 2 pair of nonlatex gloves (size: large)
* 2 hydrocortisone ointment packets (approximately 1 gram each)
* Scissors
* 1 roller bandage (3 inches wide)
* 1 roller bandage (4 inches wide)
* 5 sterile gauze pads (3 x 3 inches)
* 5 sterile gauze pads (4 x 4 inches)
* Oral thermometer (non-mercury/nonglass)
* 2 triangular bandages
* Tweezers
* First aid instruction booklet

Store your survival kits in your hallway or backyard. If you live in a building, your car trunk is a handy place for these bulky items. If you think there is a possibility that your carpark might be affected by the earthquake, store it at a friend’s backyard.

Experts recommend that you make three identical emergency kits. Store one kit at home, one at your workplace and one in your car. That way, your chances are good of having a kit handy after a quake.

These supplies are no help if you can’t get to them. Make sure every household member knows where they are.

FOR BABIES/KIDS

Baby Food: Buy some packets of instant formula food that needs not mix with water. Keep a track of their expiry date and replace them with new ones periodically.

Diapers: The number of diapers needed depends upon the age and habit of your kid. However, as a rule of thumb you should at least keep 20 disposable diapers and 4 cloth ones. Cloth diapers can be washed and reused in case you run short of disposable ones.

Clothes: Store at least 10 pair of clothes for your baby in the 72 hour kit. This is tricky as babies grow rapidly. It can be managed by circulating the clothes with new ones of larger size from time to time.

Comfort Toys: Every child has a toy or blanket that he/she loves. Try grabbing them in emergency as this will help to keep your child calm during emergencies. If this is not possible, keep a toy that will comfort the child in absence of his/her favorite item.

Medicines: Medicines for infants are different from those of an adult and is a must-include item in a 72 hour kit. Babies can fall sick anytime and medicines present in the kit are the only savior then.

An important thing to remember is that toddlers grow rapidly. Therefore, you will always need to periodically check your 72 hour emergency kit and keep things that are appropriate for your child’s age and development stage

Ang dami pala. Hahaha!  If there's one thing that I want to add there is a whistle. It can call attention after the calamity like what Rose Dawson did after Titanic sank diba?

So here's my plan - complete the first aid kit first then I can go on to the survival kits and other necessities.

Why? Because I have a budget to follow. I know it is something that is urgent that I need to have as soon as possible pero I don't think my budget would allow me to complete all these at the same time kaya mejo hinay - hinay ng slight. =)

I hope all praning mothers and fathers or basically anyone will be prepared too.. It's a simple reminder. =)

As soon as ma complete ko ito, I'll show you guys :)
